I have been swapping and participating in forums on the MaryJane's Farmgirls site. Some of the farmgirl sisters are swapping on other places so I found this one.
I sew, crochet, knit, needlepoint and embroider. My favorites are dolls---especially the floppy rag doll kind, not extreme primitive though. I also make purses, hats scarves, dish cloths, aprons, things like that.
Enjoying my reitrement I have the time to play, visit and rest. I have 3 sons, all out of the home. This senior housing building has a community room where we can meet and share what we are doing....currently a small group is learning crochet and we are donating lap afghans to a local hospic who needs them. It feels so nice to know that my hands can make something to warm and comfort someone nearing the end of their life.
I have been called a hippie by friends who notice how I dress and the things I like...that's a compliment! lol
I wear no makeup and rarely use perfume--try to stay natural as possible. I do love coloring my hair though! Red is the best! Sixty is not too old to put stripes in my hair... LOL
I look forward to making new friends here.
I'm working on learning how to post my information here. I like sewing, crochet, knitting, plastic canvas. I love miniatures because they don't take up much shelf space.
I like crochet, sewing or plastic canvas patterns, especially dolly or apron patterns.
LIKES: I like handmade things best. Love Dotees, buttons, beads, clothspins and lace, My favorite color is dark purple or maroon. Though I also like pink red or blue in my house. Just about any color is fine EXCEPT neons.
DISLIKES: Anything about cats (very allergic). Browns or extreme primitive or neons.
Earings that are long heavy. Anything neon. Otherwise I am easy to please.

Hi - I'm hoping things are ok with you. I am your partner for the Halloween Dotee and wondered if you had received it. Please let me know if there was a problem.

ATC stands for "Artist Trading Card". It's a little 2.5" x 3.5" card (but can be made from other materials) that you decorate and trade. If you go to Google photos or Flickr and enter "ATC" they will show you lots of examples.
Hi druideye, I'm looking for where to respond to you.
arielrobin, I am still learning how to get around the site. thanks for the comments! hugs, Linda

I noticed we're in the same swap (Big Fat Stuffed Envelope) and just wanted to personally welcome you here to Swap-bot. I'm fairly new myself.
