I am a wife and mother of two. Beyond that I don't really know. I can tell you where I have been, what direction I am headed but I really don't know where I'll end up.
I am kind of all over the place with what I like. Let's call it eclectic! (Sounds a little nicer, doesn't it?) My favorite colors are earthy colors. Deep, rich reds, yellows and oranges on one end of the spectrum, light airy blues and greens on the other end.
Some of my most cherished accents are pieces that my children have made, or things that friends of mine have bought me as gifts. They are not costly, but they are priceless because of the sentiment that has gone into selecting or making the pieces.
I am a published author working on my second book, both inspired by my children and their life experiences. Look for 'The Child of Denys' in book stores and on-line to join my daughter on an adventure through the Dream Realm with her girl cat named Dennis as a guide. A great story about friendship and family for the middle grade reader - 3rd grade through 6th grade.
This fall I launched a new project, a year long art piece. In it I am tracking my year, the important events, and over all feelings of each week. In 52 weeks I will fill a 24x24 canvas with weekly compositions displaying the highlights of 2012-2013. Join my journey at www.mycreativechatoiclife.com
I am a licensed veterinary technician currently working as a substitute teacher. I have an up-and-coming webstore you can visit and find crafting and art supplies as well as items needed to make your garden stand out from all your neighbors.
Please consider stopping by to check things out. I would love to be able to help support my family through my ever burning need to create.
I am an avid reader and I enjoy many different genre. I am especially lately into historical fiction/mystery. Check out my Goodreads profile for the books I've read and rated.

I have started with crafting when I learned braiding and weaving with my plastic loom and stretchy loops as a little girl. I most often work with paper crafting and I love to bring interesting embellishments into my scrapbook layouts (ever use a plastic water bottle or a bamboo skewer on your layout? Check out my page on www.CraftyLink.com to see some of the more interesting things I've used), and combine the aspects of painting and collage into my albums.

I am either a teacher's worst nightmare or greatest student because I have a very hard time following directions. When it comes to crafting I take directions as a polite suggestion as how to proceed. I end up sometimes with utter failures, but have found some exciting techniques as well.
