Welcome to the 2021 series of poetry swaps! All skill levels, abilities and seriousness levels welcome! There will be a new round of this swap every third week this year. (one week on, two weeks off) For this swap, you will write a poem (minimum 8 lines, and please don't go above 2 pages) using the assigned prompt and mail it off to your partner! Please include a note with the swap name and your username on it, as well as any relevant content warnings for your story. The prompt for this round is: TATTOO NEW THIS YEAR: If you would like feedback on your poem, you are welcome to print off and include the feedback form (linked above under "swap homepage") in your envelope, but it isn’t a swap requirement. If you receive a swap with the feedback form included, please fill it out and send it back to your partner (either by email or in the post). If you’re not interested in feedback, just don’t include the form. BORING BUT IMPORTANT DETAILS: -You are welcome to type or handwrite your poem, just make sure if it is handwritten that it is legible and still falls within the word count guidelines. -All languages and subject matters are welcome, just make sure your partner speaks/can read the language you write in and is okay with any extreme subject matter before sending. -Please don’t use previously written material or excerpts from larger works or books you may have written. The point of this swap series is to exercise and stimulate creativity through new prompts and stories in each round, and subbing in previously written works defeats that purpose. This also isn’t the time or place for self promotion or book sales- please refrain from including any overtly promotional materials, discount codes, or anything similar in your swap envelope. -This swap is open to anyone rated 4.8 and higher and is Newbie friendly! I will however remove you from the swap if you have any unexplained 3’s newer than 6 months, 1’s newer than a year, or without a well filled-out profile. If I do have to remove you, I will let you know why and I would be more than willing to let you back in or include you in a future round if the reason is explained or fixed, but it’s case dependant. -Please let me know if you don’t receive something- I will try to angel whenever I can and will contact those who don’t send by the deadline, but I won’t be monitoring for flakers so you do need to let me know if you need an angel. Please keep in mind that this is an international swap and mail is extremely slow in some places right now, so letters from some countries could take up to a few months to arrive. -And, as always, please contact me with any questions, queries, or qu-oncerns!
