Send Out Quickly Tea Swap

I was told via a PM I could start this swap if I chose to.

Getting tired of worrying about what teas to send? Do you want to just send and not have to worry too much, this time?

Then this super easy swap is for you!

Go right NOW to your tea stash, and:

  1. pull out 4 teas (individually wrapped); no loose teas
  2. put 2 different flavored teabags in 2 envelopes;
  3. include a note stating your name and the swap name;
  4. seal the envelopes... Then wait.

When partners are assigned, address the envelopes and mail them. That's it. Nothing more. No extras required. No profile surfing for preferences.

Note If you have allergies, consider if you are willing to possibly receive teas you can't drink, before signing up. There is no telling what you might receive! You can keep them to re-gift or future swaps.

If you feel the need to "cushion" your teas you may use a notecard or sheet of paper to sandwhich your teas. Send off your teabags to their anonymous homes and don’t forget to include the swap name and you Swap-Bot ID to be rated. I usually use a vintage post card or an extra end of paper.

« Sign up » and « send by » dates are really close since the envies should already be prepared in advance to be mailed out. If you’re not sure you will be able to send on time, DON’T JOIN !!!

Now the fun part…

• Requirements: You must have a rating of 4.85 with no more than one no send rating. No unexplained 1's or 3's or you will be banned (just PM me to discuss);

A full profile is a must, because those that take time to fill a profile fully are more than likely to send.

• Ratings 5s should be given out based on whether the package meets the swap requirements, NOT whether you like it or not.

• Check up I will check profiles before assigning partners and I will ban anyone who seems to not respect my rules. This swap is meant to be fun, so PLEASE no flakers. Should there be any, I will Angel (or find an angel) if necessary and if you have rated the flaker a one.

~~~It has come to my attention that someone is PMIng those that sign up for my swaps.
Telling lies about me, because I do not do things as they think I should do so. Please if you get a pm like this, do not back out and if you feel safe enough, please let me know who is doing this. Thank you.~~~
I love your idea of just going to the cupboard and grabbing the tea and having the envies ready to be sent. Is it possible for you to do one for just Regional-USA only? If you did one of those I would join it. The postage for overseas is just to much for me. Thanks and keep up the good work.( nascarangel)
I have 2 envelopes addressed and ready to go, but I also think a US only quick tea swap would be fun. If you like how thus turns out, you could make it a reoccurring one. I love the idea myself.
It has come to my attention that you've copied this swap word for word. douchbag
fawnscrafts 08/ 6/2012 #
I was told I could copy it, and if you look closely, it is not word for word.
Would you like to see the copy of the Pm the other host sent to me to prove that?
fawnscrafts 08/ 6/2012 #
@nascarangel this is not my idea, as the swap mentions, it is a shadow sort of another swappers swap. She did give permission for me to copy it. Which was very kind of her and that is why I mention it is a copy of another swap.
Yes I can do a USA only swap.
I'm new, so forgive my question here,... but why does it matter if the swap is a copy or not? Does the hostess get anything for hosting one? Isn't it open to join it if you want and look away if you don't?
fawnscrafts 08/ 7/2012 #
Some hosts spend a lot of time thinking and planning a swap.
There is no rule that a swap cannot be copied.
But it is considered bad tast4e unless the host gave permission to do so.
Someone is angry at me for blocking her months ago and just found out within the past few days. So she feels free to call me names, and try to make me look bad, when she does not know or have all to facts.
And then there is the times when a couple think of the same idea at the same time. My ATC swap is a branch to a swap I wrote and was going to post, but another swapper beat me to it by a few hours. So I let her have that swap, the postcard part and I did the ATC part.
Here's info from Rachel in the FAQs about copying a swap: http://www.swap-bot.com/faq.php#coordinator-copy
Note esp. the paragraph about giving credit!
