Comment: Thanks for the U card--I had a little trouble reading the answers (the post office tore the surface of the back of the card so half the words were gone) but utensils is an excellent answer, and I could read that one!
Comment: Thank you for pretty card, note, and stickers. Spring is arriving here too. I no longer have bird feeders. I did at a previous home. When I was a child, an injured pigeon, carrier kind, stopped at our house, and we kept it and named it Lucky.,
Comment: I have driven near Mt Rushmore on a work trip a couple of times without an opportunity to stop. From what I understand it is much smaller in person than photos make it seem. It is on sacred indigenous land, and that is saddening.
Comment: This spectacular PC reminds me so much of Spring! We haven't started to green up yet, but soon there will be banks of color from all the wild flowers on the mountains surrounding us! The oceans have their own special kinds of "blooms." Stay safe and healthy! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Helo. Nice to meet you. Your card is beautiful. I tend to listen to music or an audio book. What podcast are you listening to? "how to make beautiful botanical postcards." hee. No, seriously, tell me.
Comment: Hi Teresa! I love your pcs of the cardinals - always a favorite! I have become such a fan of birds since COVID hit - nature at its finest! All the best and Happy New Year! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the very first Christmas PC I have ever received. I really like it. I also like the sticker on the back - a flamingo wearing the Santa Hat. All the best to you, today and always. Vita Lynné
Comment: Thank you very much for these 6 squares. The longer I look the more I search for the same colour.
It is also relaxing to create them.
Please stay safe!
Merry Christmas and a very creative new year!
Comment: Thanks so much!! Cowboys are the best. I love this PC. My uncle has a horse drawn carriage that he uses for weddings and sometimes just cruising around the ghost town where he lives. Loved this.
Comment: Thank you for the Ghibli card!💗 I agree about getting cozy. My duvet is one of the things I'm thankful to have during winter. I fell in love with them when I lived and volunteered at a Girl Scout chalet in Switzerland.
Comment: i love how your pc came out - so pretty and creative! The Mod Podge worked great - I am SO stealing your idea for the next one. THe front was perfectly smooth and all the design elements stayed on just perfectly Thank you so much!
Comment: HI Teresa! I love the pc - thank you! If that motivational book works for you cleaning your storage room - I need it as well! I have so much clutter and need to get moving on it as hopefully everyone will be home for Thanksgiving - yippee! How was "In Every Mirror She's Black" as well? All the best! Hugs, Happy Reading, and Swapping! ;)
Response: I was able to read the decluttering book for free through my Amazon Prime account. I didn't end up finishing the other book - I just couldn't get into it. :(
Comment: Thank you for the postcard and for taking the time to answer the question on my profile, "What three things went well today?" It's a great writing prompt, honestly. Have a lovely weekend. Cheers!
Comment: Thank you for sending your answers. This swap was so fun. Funny thing, my son saw the postcard and said, "Wow mom, that postcard looks like a pumpkin exploded." HAHAHA I think it's funny how kids see things. I just saw abstract art until he pointed it out to me. :)
Comment: oh my gosh... A Charley Harper inspired quilt show??! That's amazing and how fun! Happy Birthday to your SIL. And a vax'ed play... sounds like such a lovely weekend, thank you for sharing it with me! Thanks too for the C.H. Ladybugs card, so perfect for me!! ♥♥♥!
Comment: Thanks for the cool postcard. It's funny you're reading "The Invention of Wings" because I read that last month. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot from that time. Right now, I'm reading "Falling" by T.J. Newman and it's definitely a page turner but don't read it on an airplane.
Comment: Thank you for the PC. Its cooler here in Virginia and the Fall craft shows have started. We went to the Apple Days Festival and got some fresh apples to make an apple pie.My favorite time of year. bearnbabs
Comment: How fun!!! Who did you do a class with? Coffee is my fave as well! A splash of soy milk is all I need to make my espresso PERFECT!! I love this card. Thanks so much for joining. Hope to see you in the mailbox. This PC is going to be hanging out in my studio (aka dining room, kitchen table converted to art table).
Response: Thanks, I really enjoyed making this! 😊 The class was part of an art journaling membership with the Painted Cicada on Patreon.
Comment: That one is on my TBR! I am a HUGE thriller/psychological thriller fan. You should definitely check out Greer Hendricks if you have not already! She has a new book coming out in 2022 with Sarah Pekkanen as well - they are such a good duo IMO! :)
Comment: HI Teresa! Loved your bird pc - I have nothing clever either but what a fun swapping anyway! LOL! Bummer about having to take your feeders down and the diseased birds - that is so sad! So far I have not heard of any issues in our area, I just have squirrels that are getting chunky from eating the bird food - grrr! All the best! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: I love London and have been many times. Once , with female family members, we went to the Tower of London. Afterwards, walking away, because they were repairing the street, I picked up a cobblestone, carried it to the hotel, and back home with me.
Comment: Hi Teresa! Love your pc - I saw the date you mailed and think it went pony express to get here! LOL! I am not sure about flying right now either, but if someone was paying for me to go.... LOL! Hope you enjoy your road trip! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Hi Teresa! Love the Gelli Plate pc - so how did you do the transfer? Very cool looking - I feel like I am always learning with the Gelli Plate and maybe that is why I enjoy it so much! Thank you for joining the swap! All the best! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: The transfer attempt was done using an ink pad stamped on the gelli plate and placing an magazine image facedown on the plate. I'm not sure what went wrong. Maybe the ink was too dark? It was an interesting experiment, but I haven't tried it again. I don't have much space, so I don't end up using my gelli plate very often.
Comment: Thank you for the interesting cards. I don't watch baseball but my granddaughter and her family live close to the Sports complex in Kansas City, MO and they have been to games in both stadiums - baseball and football.
Comment: Thank you for the charming songbird who flew into my mailbox today (probably to escape the rains of tropical storm Elsa) bearing greetings of happiness and goodwill. Your colorful creation was especially appreciated in the midst of all this dreariness!
Comment: Thank you for the cute postcard! I love the iridescent bubbles! Thanks for letting me know your process 😊
If your plate is a commercial one then I've heard mineral oil can help rejuvenate and clean it. I left mine on a piece of paper and I feel mine is getting a bit dry as well after that. I keep forgetting to pick some up at the store to give it a try.
Comment: I wish you good luck with your garden. I grow cilantro. It will come back each year and could spread like crazy. The basil, you will need to pinch the heads off so it does not get to leggy but will grow bushy instead.
Response: Thanks for the advice on the herbs! I've been amazed at how fast the cilantro has sprung up. I need to get out there and start harvesting some basil - learning as I go! :)
Comment: Thank you for the cards, Teresa. Hope you're staying cool with your new air conditioner. We're into summer weather here in South Florida too and hurricane season is on the doorstep. Sometimes I wonder why I don't move to the mountains!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful puppy dog card!!! He looks so sad, you just want to pick him up and cuddle him!!! I have a pug and I love him to pieces!! My daughter also has 2 Golden Retrievers, a Yorkie Toy Fox Terrier and a Dalmatian!!! We love animals!!!
Comment: Thanks so much for joining! Loved that little dog and the idea of reusing something on the backing as well. I did that too. I went to glue on a blank PC meant for drawing on and felt that defeated the purpose!!! Loved having you in the swap!!
Comment: Teresa, thank you so much for the Dangerous Women Read postcard--I love it! Donna Tartt's The Goldfinch was wonderful. I can't bring myself to watch the movie in case it ruins the book for me ❤️
Comment: It is a beautiful castle you sent. I do want to visit France, and well, all of Europe. Oh, and the rest of the world. I've been to Britain twice, I have family there. I've seen quite a bit of the inside of their houses, so next time, I might not tell them when I'm coming, and do some of my own sightseeing.
Comment: Thanks so much for my city-love, Cincy PC. I attended so many baseball games in the old Crosley Field! Hope you get to a game soon! The team is still my Cincinnati Red Legs!!! (You can tell I’m old!)
Response: Yes, we're going to a game in early May - can't wait!!
Comment: Thanks for the great PC! Glad you were able to meet up with your co-workers. That is always fun to do, especially during this pandemic. I hope you have a great day and thanks for being in the swaps!
Comment: I just LOVE the vintage photos you sent. They are really great shots, thank you so much. I'm looking forward to times when COVID is a memory and reconciling the possible reality that mask-wearing and social distancing may be the "new normal" for the foreseeable future and choosing to be happy no matter what. Art journaling and being creative makes me most happy and I can always do that. :)
Response: Glad that you liked the photos! Being creative has been extra important this past year. :)
Comment: Thanks for a delightful swap! I appreciate that you read my profile and chose so well for me. Who knew a curve in the road was postcard-worthy - but I find it charming. Love the cute koala baby peeking over mama - I will send that to my daughter-in-law and baby grandson; then she'll give it back so I can save it in my collection! The art card from Finland of the sweet girl by the stream is beautiful and so peaceful. Thanks for a truly great swap! Yes, I've worked at Disneyland for 14 years (well, it has been closed over a year, but I should be back to work by summer.) It is a lively, people-intense job and helping the Make a Wish families on their visits is one of the best parts. Sometimes I am just dealing with angry Guests, like the lady that screamed at me that we should NOT allow children in Disneyland. (A few strollers had bumped into her.) Maybe your quiet spreadsheets aren't so bad!
Comment: Thanks for the art work postcard and sharing where you want to travel. I have been to Gatlinburg and Asheville, easy driving distances from where I leave. My oldest daughter has been to Hawaii. My boyfriend really wants to go to Costa Rica.
Comment: Oh my goodness Teresa, thank you for the great cards, especially the lucky cat one!! <3 <3 I googled the lucky cat museum, and that is crazy!! If i ever visit Cincinnati, that will be my first stop!
Comment: Hi! I received your postcard today! I really like the pattern you made, the triangles shine in the sunlight! I love receiving colorful mail (& my postman loves delivering it)!
Have a great weekend & happy swapping!
Response: Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I enjoy sending out colorful postcards - it's a great creative outlet!
Comment: Thanks so much for sending me three of my favorites!! It is so great having Spring here! Today is amazing! And thanks for the book recommendations. I have Obama’s book waiting to be read along with a billion others ha ha! Right now I have a lot of library books out too... I need to get a lot of reading in. I hope you have a great week and thanks for joining my swap! : )
Comment: Thanks for the girl power postcards, Teresa - and an extra besides! Glad you had a little taste of Spring. We've already had too many summer-like days here (South Florida summer-like, meaning too hot & too humid!). Extremes seem to be the new normal.
Comment: Hi Teresa! 👋 Wow, this gorgeous pink blossom-covered 🌸 trees envelope💌 of great paper things took the long way to me. It arrived yesterday, clearly postmarked 31 Dec 2020. Thank you so much for your cheerful chatty note, and the great selection of PCs you chose for me, especially the owl 🦉 one. Take care 🤗
Response: Oh my goodness, I can’t believe that took so long to get to you!!
Comment: I love the Beagles postcard because that is the breed of dog we had when I was growing up! My daddy always had a Beagle and the dog would go with my dad when he went hunting. Thanks for the memories and for joining this swap!
Comment: Hi Teresa! 👋 Thank you SO much for this gorgeous 📚 books PC with nest. 💟 Also here are some book recommendations: I too loved City of Girls (at least the first 2/3). Another great one by her is a biography of Eustace Conway. The title is The Last American Man. It was inspirational to me, and came out long before EPL. Some fiction I loved recently: Lady of the Lake by Laura Lippman, Ask Again Yes by Keane, The Most Fun We Ever Had by Claire Lombardo, The Last Romantics by Tara Conklin, AllThis CouldBe Yours by Attenberg, and Commonwealth by Ann Patchett. Take care & happy swapping & reading 🤗💌📬
Response: Thanks for the recommendations! I’ll have to check them out.
Comment: I LOVE tourist postcards that specify one location. Theyvare all great. I am just building my post card stash and having a ball!
27 pieces of personal snail mail today! Gonna be busy all night!
Exhausted from zpritikin camp so wish me luck!
Yhank you again
Comment: Nice cut n paste of the old dockside buildings. It looks better then most regular tourist postcards. I like how you included a little more of the image on the back. Thanks for making it for me TB/Aseret25. :)
Comment: I LOVE Fiona!!! I read a book about her to my niece and fell in love wit Fiona and her Mama. I love seeing what she is up to, so thank you for her Valentine. I love the roadrunner card as well.
Response: You are so welcome! It makes me happy to share the Fiona love! :)
Comment: Thanks for all the cool cards, Teresa. I really appreciate your choosing non-touristy ones. I especially like the monkey orchid & the Uncle Sam bank. Not to worry about the "Thank You" card. I think the idea was just to use a notecard to protect the PCs.
Comment: Teresa!! Thank you so much for the lovely postcards and for resending your last swap that got eaten by the postal service, that was so kind of you and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Eiffel Tower card (have never seen that one before!) and the reproduction of an antique postcard! I will have to look up the artist Brian Moss as his art is very interesting! Thank you so much - you certainly DID make my HEART sing today! <3
Response: Oh good, I’m so glad that this one made it to you safely and that you love it! :)
Comment: Thank you for the postcards. Sadly the envelope was ripped apart so all of the cards will have to go into the bin - I know the envelope was fine when it went through the processing center as I received a photograph of your envelope in one piece, but by the time I got it, it looks as if someone ripped it not once, but TWICE! :O :( I know it wasn't my mailman, he's awesome, unless it was some freak accident. Anyway, thank you for the cards and I hope you are well.
*update Jan. 29, 2021 - thank you SO MUCH for the resend - this time the post office did not "eat" your envelope and beautiful postcards. That was so sweet of you to resend, and I love all of the cards you sent. Thank you thank you thank you! <3
Response: OH NO!! Would you like me to resend? I'll send you a DM.
Comment: Hi Teresa! 👋 Thanks so much for the great selection of PCs for this scavenger hunt. 💌📬 I especially like the Tiger 🐯 one, but really they’re all great. Also the envelope is spectacular, & the post office canceled it on both the top & bottom. 🤔? Thanks again. Take care 🤗
Comment: Love, love, love this postcard! It’s perfect! Awesome colors, use of bird silhouettes, sheet music, and music notes too. My favorite part is where you wrote the lyrics “every little thing is gonna be alright” inside the number one! You have beautiful penmanship! Thank you so, so much for making an amazing postcard for me & sharing a bit about your Jamaica 🇯🇲 story! I’m also glad you liked the swap opportunity - It’s definitely one I’d like to coordinate again in the future!
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you like it! I was really thrilled with how it came out! :)
Comment: Thank you for the very unique postcard. Looks like the art projects my kids used to do blowing through a straw to move the marble around in paint. I hope you enjoyed your time off of work. Take care!
Comment: Teresa, thank you so much for the interesting and heart-warming “Chunk”. I love the Old El Paso packaging as well as the Fall/Thanksgiving sticker decorations. The mail has become so slow, and there was some minor damage on both ends of the postcard cardboard, so I glued it back down over your note, and all is well. 🍂❤️🍁😊👍
Comment: Thanks for the card with the VW beetle. I've had 2 beetles (but from the 1960s), a rabbit, a Thing (you might have to google that one), and two camper vans, one pop up and one not. So I really liked the card.
Comment: For some odd reason this postcard just arrived this week! I adore it!!! We did early voting too, and will be doing it again for our runoff in another 10 days. Thanks for all the work you did for GOTV. You are appreciated! Thanks for this cool card. :):):) VOTE!!!!
Response: Glad it finally made it! I’m working on more GOTV postcards as we speak, for the January GA runoff. I hope it makes a difference. Thanks for doing your part and voting!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely PC. Being a lover of architecture, I find it interesting. I believe it is Le Conciergerie, the old Royal Palace and prison. A lovely example of 14th century architecture.
Comment: Hi Teresa! 👋 Thanks so much for the Rhino PC, and for news of the Cincinnati Zoo’s new rhino baby. I’m going to look him up, they’re so bumbling and awkward as babies. One 🦏 I follow at a Nebraska zoo just turned 1 year old, & is a thousand pounds! 🙀 take care ;)
Comment: Hi Teresa! Thanks so much for the beautiful card. I fly into the northern KY airport, but haven't really spent much time exploring that area. I appreciate the tip & will make some time to explore it one day. I always think to walk across the John A Roebling Suspension Bridge, since he also did the Brooklyn Bridge & another I've walked connecting PA to NY. I imagine the view to be very pretty. Have you ever walked across? Do you think it's worth trying?
Thanks again & Happy Thanksgiving!!
Response: I think I've walked across it during a charity run/walk, but never while there was also traffic on it. There is a walkway though, and people do use it. I think it's worth doing, especially since you've experienced some of his other bridges - why not "collect" this one too? :) Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
Comment: Thank you for the cool Cat Eyes card, Teresa, and for sharing those delightful old b&w photos. They're just the kind of thing I can incorporate into my collages. I hope you give envelope-making a try, especially with recycled papers. It's fun & good for the planet. Happy Thanksgiving!
Comment: Hi! thank you for the postcard! My thanksgiving plans are the same. Also what a coincidence, the postcard I sent out for this swap was also "I for Irises", but I was referring to the part of the eye, not the flower. Take care!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. My husband and I will be at home for Thanksgiving as well - we have a can of cranberry sauce, a can of green beans and some microwaveable stuffing...I may get a little wild and make some mashed potatoes - we'll see. :) Our oven doesn't work, so microwave side dishes it is for us. Take care and stay safe.
Response: Sounds like you've got the best side dishes covered!
Comment: Thank you for the pages and the extras. I will put them all to good use 8). I really appreciate the old photos and the foreign language pages. I am gathering things to make my first Junk Journal and these will be a huge help. Thank you again
Response: You are so welcome! It was alot of fun to put this package together! :)
Comment: Hello FUN postcard....already know what I will put on it and pass it on...... welcome to the world of Pass & Paste... I love these swaps..... and it's so much fun when they come home..... many hearts for you!
Comment: Well you picked the perfect card - I love it!! Haha, it's definitely my style (even if it makes me boring ;D). It looks like Paris - that'll be me when we can finally start traveling again in 50 years haha!
Comment: Thanks so much for the profile based postcards! They are perfect for me! : ) I love the card you wrote in too. I have a ton of postcards and mostly I just use photo boxes to store them. Easy to flip through and keeps them neat, clean, no bent corners, etc. So happy to have you in the group, and I hope we swap soon!
Response: Glad you liked them! And thanks for the photo box idea. :)
Comment: Thank you for sharing the nice “H” for “Howdy!” postcard from the Drop Caps box set! Of course, I have to put it on my bulletin board because I know you meant to send it specifically for me, since it’s also MY “H” for Harmony, huh!! 😉 Clever you! 💕😁🤩 It’s a winner & I’m happy to have it in the PC collection!
Response: You're welcome, I'm glad you liked it! Yes, it was H for Harmony. I was going with a theme for my outgoing postcards that day! :)
Comment: Thank you thank you Teresa for having joined my swap! Thank you too, for your note card with your list of musicians & songs! I guess so, you couldn't stop at 10, lol ! But thank you for giving me a list of 17, hee! Some of them I know & some I don't. I love Journey, Counting Crows, & B-52's! These are all I know of on your list. But I promise to check your other musicians with songs. Take care & be safe.
Response: This was a really fun swap. I'm going to have to make a playlist of these songs. I hope you find 1 or 2 new songs that you enjoy!
Comment: Hi Teresa ! Thank you much for the deer PC. Cute ! Great to hear, you wild animals at your park where you hike. Not bragging & won't. But we live atop a mountain in the wooded area and we see deer, bears, fox, raccoons, rabbits, birds, skunks (which are always spraying something, PU), woodchuck, squirrel, coyote, and of course snakes(Eww!) all the time. We love it !
Response: That sounds AMAZING! Except for the snakes, ha! We've been seeing some skunks in our backyard lately...no spraying yet thankfully.
Comment: I have heard of Jungle Jim's, and I want to go there one day.
Funny story, I went to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum in DC right after Indian-ish came out, and got to see Priya do an in person cooking demo. It smelled so good.
Response: Jungle Jim's is worth the trip! How fun to see a cooking demo with Priya Krishna! I hadn't heard of her before, but someone on a blog I read recommended her cookbook, and it has been so much fun to try new things!
Comment: Your washi PC arrived today by a miracle chance! LOL! My mail carrier said the card must’ve been processed on the machines a couple weeks ago but got stuck between belts because of it’s thinner pliability. It’s actually got the digital “Energy Awareness Month” cancellation for “CINC 5 OCT 2020” and then another sticker barcode affixed over top of that dated 10/17/2020! Whew! What an adventure it must’ve had, huh!
Response: Glad that it finally made it! :) Good to know that I might need to make them a little bit thicker to withstand the machines at the post office.
Comment: Hello fellow Ohioan! ❤️ Thank you for the black kitty postcard. I was happy to see it waiting my my mailbox for me. We're enjoying the fall season up here too - lots of pumpkins, mums, colorful leaves and cozy hoodies! 🍁🎃🧡
Comment: Thank you for the amazing postcards, I really like the Disney one, and the snail :-) I used to keep African Land Snails as pets! The WI is very rewarding, most of the time! I'm three years in now too... lets see if they vote me back in again next year...! Lovely Happy Mail, thank you!
Comment: Hi Teresa! Thank you SO much for the rhino facts PC. And for your cheery chatty note. My current favorite genre of book is biographies, there are some Wild lives being lived & written about, I can’t get enough. Take care :)
Comment: Loved the pc! My happy place is a waterfall near by. Its a short hike to it. So peaceful there. Like you just getting outside. I love going with my husband and daughter because they make sure i forget about the real world.
Comment: Thank you! Love the little piggie!
Unfortunately we haven't been able to do much hiking this year. Our normal hiking spots were completely bombarded with people trying to escape COVID. And now the wildfires and smoke are keeping us indoors. :( Hopefully things will be better soon!
Comment: This is the first handmade card I’ve ever gotten, thank you so much! I love the design, I’ve always admired abstract art because of the special skill set needed to make it look cool (like yours😎)!
Response: Wow, thanks, I appreciate your kind words!
Comment: Ok, the card you sent is one of my favorites I have received. Thank you Good luck with the veggies! Its been fun. My cucumbers died when we had 110 heat for a few days. :( but it is fun to try.
Response: Wow, that’s high praise! Thanks! That stinks about your cucumbers. My plants seem to be doing well so far. Fingers crossed!
