Yvpnne, thank you so much for all you sent for the CSG bingo prize. I love the two bookmarks which will come in handy because I always have a book or two that I am reading. The dishcloths my husband thanks you for as he does the dishes. I think the thing I treasure the most is the article that you copied for me. It is named "The History of the Christmas cookie. I was very enlightened by. I am of Polish origin and every Christmas my grandmother would make Kruschiki for us. It was a cookie that was make by dunking a steel star form into this cookie batter and into a pan of hot grease until it fell off and then she put lots of powdered sugar on it. Yummy! I haven't had those in ages so a lot of memories were brought back. Thank you, Shirley
To me joy is something that is deep and abiding and that doesn't change with circumstances.
And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.†(Nehemiah 8:10b)
This verse reminds me that the Lord is in control of every situation that comes into my life; He is sovereign. I'm not to grieve over these situations but put my trust in the Lord. He will give me a joy that the world doesn't understand and that joy will be my strength for whatever lies ahead.
Thank you for the absolutely beautiful Christmas card, your lovely note and selection about the origin of the Christmas Cookie! Your mail made my day! Thanks Yvonne! Hugs! xo Patty
I do hope your surgery goes well and that your healing process is easy. Take good care of yourself right now and be open to asking for and receiving help from others as you need it.
