I am a 42 year old woman from the suburbs of Chicago (although I have now been transplanted in the middle of Michigan) married to my perfect match. I LOVE to receive snail mail. I took some time off from swapping due to a cancer diagnosis and treatment. I'm slowly starting to get involved in my activities again.
I am a veterinary technician and I have been in the business for 21 years. I have definitely found my calling.
I'm interested in so many things it's hard to list them all here, but I also love to learn about new things. I'm quite a tomboy but do have occasional "girly" tendencies!
If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message! Thanks for taking the time to read this. =)
IF YOU DON'T RECEIVE A SWAP FROM ME, PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE RATING. WHILE THE POST OFFICE IS USUALLY GREAT, OCCASIONALLY IT WILL TAKE THEM A WHILE TO GET A PACKAGE MOVING, ESPECIALLY OUTSIDE OF THE U.S. I ALWAYS SEND MY SWAPS (being flaked on stinks) AND WILL RESEND IF SOMETHING GOES MISSING.
I love all kinds of music, I guess it would be easier to list what I don't like. No opera and no gangster rap.
An eclectic mix of some of the artists I like: POS, Dessa, Doomtree, Nickelback, American Fangs, John Mellencamp, Millipede, John Mayer, Duran Duran, Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Staind, Red, Papa Roach, Maroon 5,
Cardmaking, crocheting, scrapbooking, cross stitching, painting (especially watercolor) rubber stamp carving, coloring ( I love all coloring mediums), handlettering
I would really love to learn how to quilt, it's been something I've wanted to do for quite some time. There are no classes near me so if anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears!!
I LOVE BEING CRAFTY!!

Thank you very much for the cute birthday card! I love the package of flower embellishments, and will be using them on some cards. Thanks again!
We should totally be friends. I LOVE the Hawks. Especially Brent Seabrook. :)

Hello there
Im your partner for the read my profle swap. thanks for sharing your profile with me i enjoyed reading it .. im just a few yrs old then you im 39 and i too enjoy getting snailmail and love postcrossing.. im not much into hockey.. i never could understand the game but i see you are a big fan.. cool. well take care and thanks for letting me read your profile..
Hello wulfgirl, Looks like we bump into each other all over swap bot. This time with pleasure I get to read your profile for the Read My Profile and Leave a Nice Comment! #3 Swap.....should be easy because I have read it several times ;-). You know that I am very jealous that you live in Chicago. It has been some time since I have been able to visit. Each time I read your profile it makes me want to jump in the car and head that way. Hey...it would also be a good excuse to get some of your letterboxes that are in circulation or better yet a LB event in your area would be tons of fun. I am very impressed that you do glass etching the hard way. I have never tried it other than with the chemicals and that was hard enough. I would love to see some of your work. You asked about doing a quilt......Since you can't find classes where you live a very simple one to make is called a rag quilt and they are very nice when finished and can be made in a day or two. If you google it something should come up....if not let me know and I will see if I can find a instruction sheet on them. If I still have it I have another super easy quilt pattern and it is a self quilting quilt also like the rag quilt. Give me a while and I will see what I can come up with for you. Quilting is addictive but you have to have patience. So you are a vet tech. that has to be one of the more rewarding jobs....How long have you been doing it? I have enjoyed reading through your profile and look forward to swapping with you again in the future.
Read My Profile and Leave a Nice Comment! #3 -I enjoyed reading about you and that you work as a vet tech! What a great comparison you provided! I would love my youngest son to go into this field, but so far he is thinking construction! lol - Also congrats on being engaged! Sounds like you keep busy and that is wonderful! We are almost neighbors if you take the 6 hours or so of driving time away!! lol - I love snail mail and email is good as well! Happy Swapping and hope we are partners at some point!! ;)
Hey, thought I'd let you know I'll be coloring your mandala and mailing it out this evening(well, dropping it off while at work -- woohoo for similar career fields; I work at a shelter!!)
Not a dribble of pink, no problems :)
