i'm sara. i love to make things. i love to mail the things i make. i turned 30 this year and i want to view this as a positive thing, a whole new chapter in my life to make really awesome. i have a beautiful 1-year old son, a kind husband and two cute troublemaker cats. we live in portland, oregon.

if you require help with this swap please understand i am trying to find time to do this as well as currently having very limited access to the internet. this is in addition to trying to complete the outstanding swaps i have. so far everyone has been very patient and kind about this. i had very good intentions to try these new things in between my family and working full-time. i am doing my best to get these completed and promise to make the extra wait worthwhile. on the flipside, if you are my partner and you will be late just message me and it is no problem. i came here for fun and because i love the element of surprise lurking in my mailbox. i understand all too well how life can get in the way. and please, if i have marked something as sent and it has not arrived after a couple of weeks message me right away so we can try to figure out what happened!

my most favorite band of all time is the cardigans! they are amazing and so much more than "lovefool". i found pandora last spring and have discovered awesome stuff i would have never found otherwise. for a five year period of my life i listened to almost nothing but ska (this is how i met my husband) and now when i hear it it sends me back in time. i love classic rock! these songs are in heavy rotation on my ipod:

these make me happy: any curious or kawaii TINY thing -- especially rubber stamps and stickers. vintage buttons and trim. sweet floral print fabrics. kawaii address labels for me. zines. functionality meets cute overload. deco tape rolls. kawaii coupon-style mini memos. tiny polka dots. kawaii envelopes of all sizes. something from or inspired by my wishpot.

these make me sad: tea, candles, sanrio, diddl, morning glory, disney, deco tape samplers, dollar store, incense, lotion/bath products, religious items, school supplies, fluorescent or primary colors, food/candy, makeup, jewelry...

some of my favorite things are the color green, the color pink, cupcakes, knee socks, mochas, cherry blossoms, riding my pink bike, sonja ahlers, emily martin, dollhouses, sublime stitching, babies, moo.com, papermilk, the forest, gardening, cooking, pedicures, little red riding hood, sassafras lass, basic grey paper, falling leaves & picnics... just to name a few ^___^

i also love reading these magazines: everyday food, me home companion, cottage living, simple scrapbooks, country living & creating keepsakes

the princess and the warrior, amelie, walk the line, dancer in the dark, napoleon dynamite, donnie darko, the sound of music, gone with the wind, anne of green gables, the piano, the constant gardener

this is probably one of my most favorite holidays. i like to celebrate it as the new year! as for preferences...

i really like: victorian imagery (especially), black & orange, some primitive, pumpkin pie yankee candles, martha stewart crafts, dia de los muertos

i'm not so crazy about: cartoons, horror or goth, 98% of dollar tree

YUCK = ALL SANRIO (i have too much and i really do not enjoy it any more. if it is all that you can get for kawaii that is okay, try to find me some tenorikuma or little twin stars), pictures of dogs or people, the banana boss, the poop family, the bubble family, most of the kawaii girls, peanut cereb, skulls
