I'm a wife to Tristan and mum to Poppy my daughter.
We live in Hull East Yorkshire UK although I am originally from Ireland and I lived in Scotland for 12 years. I moved to Hull after meeting Tristan on an internet dating site and we got married within a year. I work 3 days a week and spend the rest of my week looking after my daughter and if I can get time doing some crafting. I love the countryside, going to the beach in the summer for a paddle in the sea and fish and chips. My family is very important to me and I visit Ireland whenever I can to see them. I am very practical and love doing jobs around the house. I am especially enjoying decorating my daughters bedroom at the moment and can't wait to move her in. I am a bit of a dreamer and an idealist. I always have big ideas and hopefully I can make them happen most of the time. I love to cook and especially bake cakes and cupcakes. I love travelling but unfortunately don't often get the time or money to go anywhere other than Europe. I would love to go to Japan and go Hello Kitty crazy. I'd need 20 suitcases to get my stuff home. Always liked the idea of going to Russia but not been yet. I have relatives in Canada and would love to visit.

I have always been a bit of a rock and metal music fan but as I get older my tastes have become much more varied. Some of my favourite artists are: The Arctic Monkeys (we walked down the aisle to Mardy Bum) Plan B, Me first and the Gimme Gimmes, NOFX, Sarah Mclachlan, Wilson Pickett, U2 earlier stuff, The Prodigy. I love non fiction how to type books mainly crafts and cooking. My favourite books at the moment are crochet Amigurumi and knitting.
When I read fiction I love crime thrillers and one of my favourite authors is Martina Cole a British crime writer. I have read most of her books and she creates a really vivid background to her novels especially the scenes set in 1960s 70s London. My favourite book of all time would be Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. I loved it as a child and have a copy that was my Dads when he was a child. I also enjoy social history books and enjoyed reading about the social history of Glasgow when I lived there. my favourite children's book is Guess How Much I love You. I love to read it to my daughter. Its such a simple story but conveys so much. Sometimes I buy her books just because I like the illustrations.

I love old movies from the 1940s 50s and 60s especially Doris day and Jack Lemmon movies. I love musicals from this era too. My favourite modern day movies are The Italian Job original, Amelie, Leon, Goodfellas, Knocked Up, and loads of other trashy movies like The Carry On series of films which are classic British Comedy of the 1960s and 70s.
