I am very proud of my 5 rating. I NEVER flake. If you do not receive from me I am glad to re-send. All you need to do is send a me a PM and I will get a re-send out by the next day.
I live in a small town in Texas that has one blinking yellow light and a few stop signs. I have a fur child, Peaches. I taught public school for 33 years: home economics. I retired in 2014.
I like to crochet . I have made over 50 pet mats for a local animal adoption center. And I have also made hats for chemo patients and cocoons for preemies.

Favorite Music
The only time I really listen to music is when I âm in the car. And then, the radio station is set on country music or I may listen to cds. Most of those are either country or polka/waltz music from local bands. Polka music is ˜happy music for happy people!"
Favorite Books
I like to read, mainly fiction. I have a small collection of books about pets! When I get one of those, they stay with me. When I finish with other books, I either donate or give to someone else. I also like reading personal stories from World War II.
Favorite Movies
I don't watch a lot of movies. Even growing up, we never went to the movies. Living out in the country didn't lend itself to being able to go to the movies. Now, if I go to movies, it will be for a romantic comedy. I don't care for horror movies or sci fi.
Favorite Television
My guilty pleasure is watching reality shows, such as Big Brother, Bachelor and Bachelorette, Survivor and Amazing Race. I always wanted to be a contestant on the Amazing Race (before they started doing those really difficult roadblocks and challenges!). I also like to watch Jeopardy and get really excited when I can know the question, especially the final question! Other favorite shows include House Hunters, Tiny House Nation, Texas Flip & Move and Flip or Flop, The Big Bang Theory and Two Broke Girls
. Favorite Crafts
I love to crochet. I have made pet mats for local animal shelters, cocoons for preemies and chemo hats for cancer patients. I also make scarves, dishcloths, just about anything that isn't too difficult. Let me crochet and watch television and I am a happy camper!
I used to make a lot of beaded items: jewelry, Christmas ornaments, etc. But I haven't been doing a lot of that lately.
I have always had a fondness for paper crafting. Anything to do with paper makes me smile. Scrapbooking, journals, now pocket letters and trying ATCs - any of that makes me happy!
I also sew. I have been sewing since I was nine years old - that was a looooong time ago. I also taught sewing when I was teaching and that was my favorite part of the year.
I will try just about any craft. People would always ask me, "Why are you making that?" My answer would be, "To see if I can!"
Dislikes
I don't have a lot of dislikes and am pretty easy to please. That being said... if you would like receiving what you are sending me, than I will most likely be happy to receive it.
The only holiday that I am not fond of is Halloween. I don't like the ghoulish, creepy, etc. things that are associated with Halloween (including skulls and crossbones). If I participate in a swap dealing with Halloween, I would prefer the cute, smiley ghosts, bats, cats, etc. I can send the 'creepy' kind but I prefer to receive the 'cutesy' kind!
PLEASE...No Thank You
I am listing several items that I do not care to receive in swaps (unless the swap calls for it). I either have too much of these items or no use for them. Thanks for understanding! * NO magazine cutouts * NO sticker flakes * NO alphabet stickers * NO reward/school type stickers * NO leftover paper scraps * NO notecards * NO sticky notes * NO note pads or loose memo sheets
WISH List
Items listed in no particular order... * Gnome washi tape * Unused US Forever postage stamps * Embossing folders * Dies (new or gently used) * Vintage playing cards * Vintaqe ephemera to use in junk journals * Return address labels * Project Life cards

Happy New Year from USA Happy Mail
Just wanted to say a special thank you for Christmas Countdown #4 US. Loved your vintage card and the bookplates and very delightful Los Angeles vintage postcard! You mentioned that you have many from CA but none from my little town of Yorba Linda - not surprising! That did make me wonder though if you might have any from Santa Barbara, my favorite city in CA and where I went to college (in vintage years gone by!) If you do and would trade with me for something, please let me know! Thank you.
Just popping in to say thank you so much for the vintage postcard of Lloyd Center in Portland you sent in a countdown to Christmas swap! So excited to receive this and appreciate your thoughtfulness! Love the die cuts and snowman card as well. Merry Christmas Renee! ❤️❄️🌲⛄
