My stepfather has been back and forth to the ER since about Thanksgiving. It has made the holiday season stressful though prayerful also. Thankfully he is home for now with Christine my step-sister and she was able to get house calls from the hospital team. That seems amazing but Chris has been volunteering with local vets and animal shelters growing an incredible food program from homeless pets and anyway… it has been a season. As one of my old mentors said, as much as we love Christmas and the holidays I am happy to get back to normal time.

Today I discovered this YouTube channel called “Recrafted by Carol.”

Music I’ve mentioned before Nils Frahm and then I love the song Belonging by Muted a sort of chill or downtempo.

For fun and relaxation I’ve been binging lately on music by Hania Rani. She plays a mix of classical piano, jazz, improvisation, and house music. I am in love with her music.

Currently reading Martha Grimes’ Jerusalem Inn.

I like all colors.

I don’t have any dislikes. Well I avoid the occult. I dabbled in it and I do it recommend messing around with it or my experience was frightening to me. Of course, results may differ for each person but magic, the occult, tarot and all of that stuff in staying away from now.

That said I do accept my own shadow and dark sides.

TV: on Apple TV I’m watching Pachinko and I am addicted.

Also Silo- I’ve gushed about Hugh Howey who wrote the books and is one of the executive producers of the show. He’s my jam.

Lioness by Taylor Sheridan who created Yellowstone another genius who writes and produces.

We’ve also been geeking out over the Martin Scorsese’s documentaries on Saints and filmmakers Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger.
