I am a 25 year old stay-at-home mom of 2 wonderful babies. I am married to my high school sweatheart, Joe who works as an auto mechanic. I am currently attending the University of Phoenix On-line in order to obtain my Associates degree in Psychology. I live in Maine and am addicted to anything related to knitting, crocheting, and yarn! I am in no way a "yarn snob" and love so many types of colors and textures. My favorite colors are pinks, purples, blues, and greens. I love to knit socks, and would love to experience new types of sock yarns. Because I live in rural Maine, I do not have much of a local yarn resource and do not have much to choose from, although I do love to visit my LYS. I am quickly becoming addicted to knitting socks and lace. I love butterflies (have a tatoo of one) and I am in no way "ordinary" or "predictable". Maine is cold, and I HATE the cold!
Country and Alternative...mostly anything else as well though the hip hop genre is getting too wild for me...
Dean Koontz, Stephen King, John Grisham... I like poetry books (anthologies) my favorite has to be the Outlaw Anthology of Poetry... Knitting books (anything), crocheting books, parenting books (looking for "1,2,3, Magic" on behavioral issues), I like to collect knitting and crochet magazines and I have lots! Psychology books also interest me a great deal.
Knitty Gritty! LOL I also enjoy CSI (Miami and NY too), Ghost Whisperer, Moonlight, Young and the Restless, Nip/Tuck..
Knitting, Crochet, Jewelry Making, Scrapbooking from time to time...
I love chocolate, coffee (I drink about a pot a day), tea (chamomille, rasperry), and warm cider. I have a weakness for oddly flavored coffees, and love to try new flavors. I do not like Folgers, and if I must drink generic coffee I prefer Maxwell House. I do not like artificial sweeteners, and use lots of liquid creamer.
I like soft yarn. I don't care if its arylic if its really soft. I love sock yarns, and anything that stripes or is varegated. I do not like really scratchy yarns or fun fur. I am enamored with alpaca yarn, and so is my son (I have had to put away the skeins of alpaca/wool blend because he kept taking it away from me!). I love the feel of bamboo yarns, but I have not had the opportunity to knit with it yet. The yarn idustry is very interesting to me, and maybe one day I will live the dream of owning a yarn store.
Yarn is the way to my hearts. Should any package recieve a ball/skein of yarn that goes above and beyond the swap will guarantee a heart-regardless of fiber content or color. I also like to recieve notebooks, and anything with a butterfly theme. Anything knitting related is welcomed with open arms as well...
I am availiable for individual swaps. If interested in swapping one-on-one with me send me a message!
I have just come upon a LOAD of fingering and lace weight yarn 15 totes of approximately 85 yarn cakes each tote. I could not possibly use all this thin yarn in my lifetime, so I would like to trade it for comperable, but thicker, yarn. I have all colors, fibers, and textures. I do not have yarn balls though, as these were all wound from cones into cakes by the woman I got it all from. I have a large amount of each color so it would be perfect for one of the mystery shawls or stoles you see popping up on Yahoo! Groups and Ravelry (such as Mystic Waters KAL, Spring Shawl Surprice, Secret of the Stole, Secret of the Stole II, and so on...) Please contact me if you are interested or would like to see pictures, or check me out at www.ravelry.com (I am knitaddicted).

Hello Courtney, hope you are well. Did you like the Butterfly swap I sent? It would make me happy if you were able to rate me for this. Many Thanks. Regards..Jan
Hi Courtney. For Lace Lovers swap, me and the other two will swap amongst ourselves. When you get unsuspended and when you send to the other lady, please let me know as well and I will send you the lace yarn I owe you. Hopefully this might help take some of the pressure off getting caught up. Have a wonderful day! Carrie (Caam)
hey courtney- for our private swap i am not sending it til i hear from you- i will also not rate poorly because i did not send my swap out. i know things were rough for you so if you decide to come back and want to conitoue with the swap let me know. hope you are doing ok. just wanted to let you know
I will not host a swap where others miss out on receiving something! You were the only one I had considered banning from the swap. I am sending your partner two dishcloths, because it is the right thing to do!
please can you at least leave a rating for the stocking I sent you.Bev
Hope that things are going well with the dishcloth swap you are working on. There are two days left to mail, please be sure to contact your partner if you will be late. Christine
Courtney if you have a problem then why don't you tell us with an email , most of us would understand Bev
Just checking in to see how the dishcloths are coming for the Swap? I have many patterns that can be worked up quickly.
I have not received my xmas crochet stocking and feel disappionted, I can't believe that anyone would not send at xmas time bev
I have swapped with her before and have angeled for her. I have found her to be very conscientious about finishing what she has started. I for one have signed up for the swap she started for lace weight yarn and have no qualms about doing so. Perhaps, before you leave any snarky remarks, you should take a couple of days to see how things are going.
