Hello! I'm new, so I'm working on learning everything that goes on here.
Things that make me, me:
My love for my favourite
- Music, Musicians and Bands
- Movies
- TV Shows
- Books
- Characters and Actors
- Animals, bugs, trees, the sky, all that is fantastic in the world
I can't live without my camera. I will photograph anything and everything! From a tiny blade of grass or a clump of dirt to strangers in the street all the way up to the beautiful colors that the sky gives us. I take these photos for myself, I don't want to forget anything at all, everything in life is so wonderful I want to keep it forever. I will be happy to include prints of photos in a letter or swap every once and while. :)
Here are some of the fuzzy friends that I live with and love dearly:
I love exchanging mail and I can't wait to get really into it and have multiple partners or even a pen pal or two! Swapping is such fun, and I've had a blast with the tea bag and letter swap, my first!
My username is ElectricRobots. I love robots, they amaze me and I enjoy doodling them, thinking about them, and writing stories about them. B)
I'm a bit sad that you can't change your username here, as I have one that I would have loved to use instead. Siiigh, I guess you learn the hard way when you sign up on a whim, haha.
Oh, and I was BORN IN THE WRONG DECADE. I am very sad about not living in the 1980's. The music, the movies, the people, the technology, the atmosphere, everything about it fascinates me.
I love music and I can't even imagine what life would be like without it. Anything related to any of these musicians, bands and composers would absolutely make my day!
Michael Jackson , Huey Lewis and the News, Barry Manilow, Rilo Kiley, Vic Mignogna, The Jackson 5, Barenaked Ladies, Traveling Wilburys, Claude Debussy, Electric Light Orchestra, Numeriklab, Coldplay, Toto, Bee Gees, Billy Joel, Annie Lennox, Killing Heidi, Daisy Chainsaw, Frederic Chopin, Tonic, Johnny Cash, Goo Goo Dolls
I am really into collecting records and cassettes as of late. I can't get enough of them! I'm having so much fun finding my favourite bands in thrift stores, flea markets and garage sales!
Oh, how I adore reading. I especially enjoy books that suck me out of the world and into the character's life. I'll give any book a chance, but I do have my favourites, of course!
Alice in Woderland, Flowers for Algernon, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, They Cage the Animals at Night, The Curious Case of the Dog in the Night-Time, Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist, Lucky Man, Moonwalk, To Kill a Mockingbird, Dear Mr. Henshaw, The Island, Kissing Doorknobs
I especially love spending summer mornings outside on my mom's swing reading. I've read so many books out in the backyard with my puppy in my laps and the swing swaying slightly. I can't wait for summer to come back.
Movies that take my heart:
Short Circuit 1 & 2, Back to the Future, Kiki's Delivery Service, The Frighteners, Moonwalker, Charlie Chaplin's The Kid, My Neighbor Totoro, ALL the Harry Potter movies, The Lion King, The Brave Little Toaster, Star Trek (2010), Treasure Planet, WALL-E, Phoebe in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Doc Hollywood, Peter Pan, The Iron Giant, The Wizard of Oz, Dead Poets Society, For Love or Money, Hero at Large
TV Shows that I'll continuously watch all my life:
Monk , Spin City , Becker , NCIS, ER, Frasier, Family Ties, Scrubs, The Golden Girls, The Big Bang Theory, So Weird, Psych, Cheers, Wings, Star Trek TOS, Fullmetal Alchemist, Three's Company, Stargate SG-1, Mythbusters, Seinfeld, House
Would love to receive~
LOVES
Anything bats, robots, platypus, 1980's, black & red used together, owls, aviator sunglasses, black cats, black and white cats, blue & green used together, spiders, they are adorable!, photographs, donkeys, lovelovelove socks with patterns, friendly or sweet little ghosts, rabbits & bunnies, purple & orange, drawings, RASPBERRIES, watches, bracelets, necklaces are wonderful if they're "me", anything Halloween-like or themed- It's my favourite holiday! Just nothing TOO creepy or bloody or zombies please...
and ESPECIALLY anything with Michael J. Fox, Michael Jackson, Charlie Chaplin or Luna Lovegood (My favourite of the Harry Potter characters!)
__LIKES (& things I like to do)___ Yarn, crochet patterns (I can't read them, but I love seeing the pictures), thread, sneaking around the library to see what others are looking at, origami, documentaries, TEA, I will drink it forever and will try anything!, making lists, cleaning, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, unique stationary, talking about video games until 2 AM, ARCADES (how I wish I lived in the 80's), making mixtapes and CDs, listening to mixtapes and CDs, mysteries, walking around thrift stores wondering about each item and its past, leaving talk radio shows on so I feel less lonely, piles of notebooks and how they look, the smell of cotton candy
__Dislikes___
YELLOW, blegh, it's my least favourite colour ever! But I can tolerate it if you send me something with it. ;)
PEARS! Please do not send anything pear as I am allergic. :( Pear shaped things are A-okay, of course!
Chocolate. I do not. like milk chocolate. M&Ms and cocoas are the only chocolate I can tolerate. Dark chocolate is okay, I guess.
Food is not something I care for very much. I only eat because I have to, haha.
Anything Twilight, Disney Princesses or Disney after 1999
Anything overly religious. By this I mean any and all religions. Nothing against it, just my own personal feelings. :)
Glitter is okay with me, but please write "glitter" somewhere on the envelope so that I know ahead of time. How much would it stink to open it over my bed and blankets? Or worse, on my bed with my little dog sitting on my lap?! Animal cruelty at its best right there. :(
I taught myself how to crochet a couple of years ago and can't stop. I love making scarves, gloves, hats and stuffed animals. I've collected and amassed a HUGE stash of yarn and I can't seem to ever focus on one project at a time. I love crochet, you can stop and leave the project at anytime and pick it up and go just like you never stopped.
I can't read patterns or understand what they're saying in magazines and books but that doesn't stop me from enjoying them. I've picked up many magazines at the flea market and I LOVE looking through them to see what everyone was making in the 80's and 90's. It's great fun. I would love to trade patterns with anyone who wouldn't mind digital copies. :)
Sewing (stuffed animals and add-ons to crochet work), embroidering (onto crochet work or onto small things), drawing, writing, and sculpting are other things I enjoy immensely. Living is wonderful when you're allowed to create anything that comes to mind. Out of thin air, it's amazing!

I am so curious to know what decade were you born in? I was born in the 1980s and I missed out a lot since I was too young to understand anything. I feel I'm more of a 90s person since I remember things more in the 90s. Hope you have fun here. I do not not write so I'm no good as a penpal but I do have lots of writing (stationeries or letter sets) if you're ever interested.
