It's been years since I used Swapbot, but the love of creating and making things + sharing them always brings me back.
I adore thoughtfully handmade items.
I put a lot of thought and care into my packages and crafts as well as what my partner likes. I send out things that I personally would like to receive. No one likes to get junk or leftovers!
I send ALL of my packages with Delivery Confirmation (US) or with a Certificate of Mailing (international). Delivery Confirmation shows when the package was delivered, and a Certificate of Mailing is a certificate that indicates a parcel has been mailed and validated by the post office. I keep in good contact, and you will hear from me when your stuff is mailed!
I reuse packaging supplies. I would love it if you would do the same, too!
I also enjoy reading cookbooks and magazines, crafting books and magazines, Japanese craft books, fantasy, uncanny, or darker fiction by authors such as Kurt Vonnegut and Roald Dahl.
I'm sorry, but I am not into Harry Potter, Twilight, Da Vinci Code, the Hunger Games, or romance novels.
And I absolutely, positively adore Ella Fitzgerald!
Here are crafts that I enjoy making:
On Swapbot, I primarily join ATC swaps. I used to join the sewing ones, but I have grown to love (and favor) ATCs. Who doesn't like portable, miniature works of art? ;)
And while this isn't a craft, I like writing handwritten letters to friends.
I really love handmade! If it's made by you, and you put lots of heart into it, I will adore it! I also love useful handmade things/accessories, so I can show it off. :D
Here are some themes that I like!
I am HUGE fan of Blythe, a doll that was first made by Kenner in the 70s. I love sewing for Blythe and also enjoy rerooting. I also have ball-jointed dolls and am currently working on making alpaca wigs.
I kindly ask that you do not send me extras unless they are relevant to the swap (trying to destash and reduce clutter). I rate on the swap item made, not on extras.
Thank you!
Just a simple little wishlist here! I have a lot of crafty stuff in my possession, especially stuff that can be purchased from chain craft stores, but these are a few items I have a difficult time acquiring or would love to receive. :D
Again, this is just a wishlist, no demands or anything! :) As previously mentioned, I love handmade and tend to participate in those swaps. If you put the time, effort, and thought into your swap, I know that I'll love it. :D
@Paralistocrat - For the mushroom stuffie swap. After apologizing and promising to send, a month went by with nothing. The host was very sweet and angeled for me.
@bubbleburd21 - For the vegan recipe swap. She told me she would resend but received nothing. bubbleburd also swaplifted the host.
I love doing private swaps! If you're interested in doing a private swap, please contact me. If I have not swapped with you before, I would kindly ask that you send first.
Also, I am pretty understanding if there is a delay when it comes to mailing out a swap. I keep in good contact with my swaps, and I really do expect the courtesy to be returned. To me, communication is the most important aspect in swapping, especially if there is a long delay.
I just ask that you please be mindful of swapping!
