I'm a 37 year old Native Californian who likes to dabble in all sorts of crafting, painting, ceramics, any art in general. I have one dog, a pomeranian, whom I'm head over heels for, named Jasper, who, at times thinks he's a pit bull, at other times thinks he's a cat. I also have a kitty, Sasha, who is a gray mau and is absolutely adorable but very feisty and incurably curious and who thinks that my dog's sole purpose in life is to be used as a pounce dummy.
I love the color purple and anybody with a wicked sense of humor. I'm a sucker for handmade gifts. I love black and white together, you just can't go wrong with that combo and pink and yellow together, they remind me of an ice-cream parlor - they make me happy and lately, I've been really drawn to grays and charcoal. Put them together with purple and I'm in heaven. I was laid off earlier this year and find what i really want to do is to create...not a whole lot of that going on in a little 8x8 cubicle. Oh, yeah, I love love love to travel and try and take one big vacation at least every other year, I'm definitely due next year to get another stamp in my passport.
I mostly listen to Christian music but have been known to dial into my local alternative stations now and then. I hate country and rap. I have a soft spot for classical music of any kind, tho. Some favorites are needtobreathe, Franchesca Botistelli,Newsboys (both old and new), Switchfoot,David Crowder Band, Live, Keane, Feist, Ben Harper, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Pachelbel's Canon in D and Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.
I'm not fond of cigarette smoke, I tend to get migraines if I'm around it too long. I don't like too many shades of green, lime green and sage are pretty much the only two I like. Ugly brown 80's furniture. Neon colors. American Southwest themed things. Mango. Most veggies. Doing dishes - anything but that!! Stupid drivers (not that these last three have anything to do with swapping but, I just wanted to share them with you). For any future swaps - I definitely can not use any seeds or plant items because a. I kill everything and 2. I tend to kill everything.
Now here is where my heart lies. I'm a movie-holic! Unfortunately, I haven't seen many in the last year or so because of budget restraints but I love to go sit in a dark theater and get immersed in the story. My top five are, not in any particular order, Goonies, The Matrix, Gone With the Wind, Sound of Music and You've Got Mail.
I have been called a couch potato so let me just narrow it down to 5 or so.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer,
Friends,
Castle,
Psych,
Bones,
Fringe
I consider reality tv anathema!
I've been on a creative roller coaster lately but I really like all sorts of different crafts.
Some that I have or am dabbling in are:
Ceramics,
Scrapbooking,
Photography,
Quilting,
Painting (using mostly acrylics or watercolors)
Sewing in general (but I'm a beginner)
I love books that have a little bit of everything all wrapped up in one book. Some mystery, humor, suspense, a teeny tiny bit of romance. They're hard to find though. I'm a big fan of Meg Cabot, Tami Hoag, James Patterson, Greg Iles, Clive Cussler...I'll read anything by any of these authors. I also like the classics but sometimes they can be a little heavy so I limit my reading of them to one every 5 years or so.
There are things on here that I have no clue what they are. If you know please clue me in, maybe we can do a personal swap involving that item, pm me if you wanna. Here's a list of the things I don't know anything about...
ATC's
Biscornu's
FB's
Pocky's
Decos
Zentangles
Inchies
Morsbag (????)
Hedgewitching
If you are a future swap partner here a few things to consider...
I don't eat sugar, so sweets are a complete waste of money and postage. However if we're doing a recipe swap, don't worry about it cuz I'm quickly learning how to substitute.
I love learning about other cultures or even about other parts of this huge country of ours. So if you're from somewhere other than So Cal and you send along a pic or a little bit of trivia about your area you will always get a heart from me.
If we're in a profile surprise type swap, you can never ever go wrong with sewing supplies or vintage children's books.
I'm a big fan of older architecture (by that I mean anything approximately 100 years or older). So if you ever want to do a private photo swap or just want to send me pic feel free to pm me.
Hope this helps.

I just left you a rating and a comment in error. I'm sorry............been on pain meds. for six weeks and have a foggy brain at times. Please disregard the comment above. I don't know how or if it can be deleted. Deeno
I honestly didn't think this swap would work. We get rated for sending the questions, so I figured no one would take the time to actually follow through and answer. Thanks so much. I had a great time reading your answers. Your handwriting is awesome. I will definitely fill out your questionnaire and get it in the mail this week. As you said, hopefully we can keep this going for a while. I have a pretty good imagination so I'm sure I can come up with some thought provoking questions for you next time. LOL P.S. Not sure what you meant about my envie unless it was the recycled ones i do. Thanks Again! Deeno
Hey! just stopping by to tell ya that I sent your whimsey fairy jar.... It's on it's way to you. I hope you like it. Cheers. Liza
