I'm a married English/History teacher, in my early thirties and I've very recently had my first baby. Due to some health issues in my twenties, we thought there was no chance of starting a family - so we were thrilled when this happened. Now we figure we'll see if we can expand...but we're seriously happy if this is our one and only.
I have the two best dogs in the world, a cat I rescued from a busy roadway and live in the best part of Australia - deep New South Wales on the edge of Kosciuszko National Park. We're avid camper/fishing peoples and this area is amazing for both activities... and we're only about 3 hours from the coast so its a definite win!
I love tea (I wouldn't be upset if someone called me a fiend in this regard). I am a passionate reader - anything and everything (I tend to have 4 books or so on the go at once and switch between them like channels on the telly). I'm keen on stationery everything - to the point where my husband has banned me from entering a particular store in town. I'm recently into bullet journaling and am still finding my way in terms of what I like and what works for me. I am drawn to whimsical and fantastical things, am open to new ideas, adore music and am an easy going generous soul.
I'm not too keen on political things (I feel we're hammered by politics all the time) and probably spend far too much time on devices... I thought I'd try to limit myself in April to just 2 hours a day (going to difficult in my job - but keen to give it a serious go!!).
I hope to spark some genuine friendships, participate in some great swaps and to find and send new things to love.
I love all music - I have the most eclectic tastes... some songs I love for the composition, some for the lyrics, some depending on my mood...
I'm an avid reader - fantasy, thriller, psychological, young adult fiction, historical, biographies... I've found there are only two books I have failed to finish ever - but one day I'll come back to them and try to get through their pages!
Can't beat a rom com, dramedy, funky mashup of genres.
Not so keen on horror (though I love to read them) - I scare seriously easily.
I'm a baker - cake is my favourite medium.
I love all stickers and pretty papers, love vintage, retro and art deco style everything. I'm open to trying new things and want to have a go at macramé, button crafts and some embroidery.
I'm a keen tea drinker and am always open to trying new things!
I love all shades of purple and green and will always choose silver over gold.
