I'm a guy of many talents, and I enjoy programming, electronics, stamp collecting, and fixing up my home. I'm passionate about Biblical study, theology, history, and worship.
My desire is to travel, but I have no travels planned for this year.
Currently, I'm going through a divorce, I have 3 Adult children and 1 son who's 15. I'm looking for things to do to connect with people during this pandemic.
I live 30 miles from the closest town, and I'm on a rural postal route, which means sometimes mail is delayed since the postal driver often leaves before the mail truck for the day arrives. Normally it's only a business day. The cost of living so far away from town.
For the last year, I've been on my own since my adult children have all flown the nest. I have two dogs 2 Lab mixes one white and one black. I also have a cat who a black Persian, responsible for pest control, though he's known to be affectionate every once and a while.
I work in the high tech field, as a software developer, project manager, and web marketer.
I'm a huge sci-fi fan, I grew up watching Doctor Who (my favorite Doctor is Still Tom Baker, But David Tennen second). I enjoy pretty much anything that has a good plot and is well written. I do enjoy British TV (Probably because of Doctor Who), and I've enjoyed "Call The Midwife" and "Downton Abby" as well as all the mysteries and sci-fi they produce, even fond of the comedy.
Of course, I love Star Wars, It was one of the first movies that blew my mind as a child. I kinda follow StarTrek, but also enjoy action and adventure from the Marvel's Universe.
I enjoy woodworking, Electronics (designing and building) but over the years I've also learned metalworking, and really enjoy TIG Welding, but currently don't have a welding kit.
For several years I was an instructor at our local DIY TechShop (sadly went bankrupt) and I taught all kinds of crafts, including sewing and quilting. I was really good at using our quilting machine, but alas, when the shop closed, I don't have access to those machines. I could quilt by hand, but haven't really considered it, since it was something I did for my wife.
I really like a wide variety of music, but my favorite is classical music. I do enjoy all kinds of Christian music. I live in a place where country-western music is king, but I'm not a country-western kind of guy, but I will tolerate it. Symphonic Heavy Metal (like Transiberian Orchestra) is something I also enjoy.
Books... This is a big topic for me because I love to read, and I'm often found reading theology books.
I have a large collection of stamps, FDC's, and plate blocks that have been accumulated from other collections I have acquired. Besides Stamps, I have a large collection of DVD's and books.
