I'm a boring & nerdy seamstress. Really. That is about it. I work at a flower shop, which is not as lovely as it sounds. I live in Austin, Texas in the US of A. It's a pretty awesome & creative town full of hippies, musicians, film makers, artists, college kids & a bunch of crazy people (myself included).

I love reading, watching movies, making stuff for friends, cooking & baking and spending far too much time on the internets.

I'm really excited about swapping!

When I wanted to wear a costume to the Lord of the Rings midnight shows, I taught myself to sew. Sewing is absolutely my favorite creative outlet. I enjoy sewing bags, plushies and clothing (especially from vintage patterns).

I enjoy embroidering & knitting (which I also taught myself to do when I wanted a Harry Potter scarf. I told you I was a nerdy crafter), but I would like to improve my skill level. I recently got into screen printing and think it is super fun.

I can't draw to save my life.

Belle and Sebastian. Interpol. I know I'm forgetting loads, but those are always heavy on rotation. I also love musicals, soundtracks, Big Band & Disney music (Disney is totally its own genre).

I love movies more than I love music (shhh, don't tell my musician brother), so I'm just going to list my all time favorites. Laura (1944). Rushmore. Lord of the Rings. Sleeping Beauty. There Will Be Blood. Notorious. Wall*E (and basically every Pixar film ever made). I'm also a huge fan of musicals, classics & film noir, Disney movies, period/costume films & Star Wars.

Favorite directors: Wes Anderson. Billy Wilder. John Ford. Paul Thomas Anderson. Tim Burton. Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Brad Bird. Hitchcock.

I am currently obsessed with: LOST. Mad Men. The Office. How I Met Your Mother. 30 Rock.

Past loves: Twin Peaks. The X-Files. Northern Exposure. Gilmore Girls. Pushing Daisies. The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Star Trek (the original series).The Office (UK). Spaced. Extras. Black Books. Newsradio. Six Feet Under. Battlestar Galactica. Arrested Development.

I love books and enjoy reading just about everything: History & biographies, YA novels, classics, etc.

My favorite authors are Jane Austen, Charles Dickens & JRR Tolkien.
