Hi, I'm Anika, I'm 30 and originally from Germany but have been living in London for over 9 years now. My mum got me into crafting when I was little, she used to keep all sorts of little bits and bops in case they come in handy one day. I work full time in a theatre, it doesn't leave much time for crafting but monday is the one day of the week that I dedicate to my stamps and crafty stash.
I've always loved receiving letters and parcels and I get well excited at the idea of swapping things with people around the world.
TOP WANTS (updated Nov 2012) Socks, Playmobil, Hotel Chocolat, Body Shop Body Butter, Lush Shampoo Bars and shower gels, Aussie shampoo/coditioner products, Moleskine Cahiers Notebooks (Kraft coloured), Tim Holtz Idea-ology, Barry M Dazzle Dust...
CRAFT RELATED SWAPS Any Ranger products (Tim Holtz, Claudine etc).
I also make jewellery sometimes and would love to get any charms and pendants or pearls. Other beads I have plenty of.
Would also like to swap craft magazines. I buy most uk ones (Craft stamper being my favourite) and the US stampers sampler, take ten, catch up issue. Any other stamping and card mags, altered art, etc I would love to receive, esp the somerset publications as they are terribly expensive over here. Would love the Art Journaling magazine pre 2011, any Somerset Memories, Somerset Apprentice, Cloth Paper Scissors or other somerset ones. Would also be happy with any sewing magazines from the UK or any English mags, like Sew Hip and the likes. Any sewing and knitting mags that would come in handy for a mum of a three year old boy (that's my sister). Would love card making magazines from around the world.
Stamps are my absolute favourite. I love anything Tim Holtz, Stampotique stamps, Oxford Impressions, vintagy style stamps, background stamps, cutsie ones, hero arts, stampin up.
NON CRAFT RELATED SWAPS
I am fairly girlie and love perfumes (small sample ones too), small toiletries, LUSH, BODYSHOP, PAPERCHASE, David & Goliath, Edward Monkton, notebooks, PLAYMOBIL, Lego, M&M characters, cookie monster, nice socks, nice jewellery pieces (Accessorize), Incense, London themed things, anything to do with the musical Tommy by The Who (even leaflets).... Anything illustrated by Jordi Labanda, all Jordi Labanda stationery etc (mainly available in Spain). I like Doctor Who, esp Weeping Angels.
If in doubt what to send, send me some nice socks, one can never have enough socks. Nicely patterened, colourful, single coloured etc. Trainer socks and ankle socks...... kneehighs too. Love all the next, topshop type socks.
I prefer quality over quantity. I will always send good quality items myself, I send things I'd be happy to receive, I think you cant go wrong with that attitude.
I don't really do digital crafting so any cd roms or digital images would be wasted on me. Neither do I like the magnolia "doll" type images or the cutsie kinda boy and girl stamps/die cuts/images. I dont like decoupage or ready made crafting sets where you just pop out a few die cuts and assemble. I'm not a fan of novelty cards like handbag/shoe shaped etc. Although I do make jewellery I don't need any more beads unless they are vintage findings/silver/pendants/pearls that kinda stuff. But no seed beads or packs of beads. I'm not an animal person.
