I have two 1 scores. These are from 2007. Please read my explanation at the VERY BOTTOM of this page.
Thank you
Hi, I'm Amber. I'm an old Swap-Bot user just now coming back into it after a super busy college experience (two degrees is rough!) and a lot of real-life drama. I've decided to use my old account rather than create a whole new one, so it has a bit of dirt on it (PLEASE read what I posted below regarding this, thanks!)
I'm a book reviewer, blogger, graphic designer, and cat rescuer living in Northern California. I've never been outside my home state, but someday I wish to travel to Japan, Korea, France, Canada, England, Norway, and many other countries.
I am in love with the feel and smell of a pine forest after it rains, a multitude of cultures, horses, dragons, cross-stitching, reading, and bracelet making.
My favorite colors include: pine green, pale blue, gold, silver, coral, and mauve.
This year I am once again participating in NaNoWriMo, a month long challenge to write a novel[et] of 50,000 words in 30 days.
.
I know I heard someone say books. Are we talking about novels (love those,) journals (love those, too), or something else? Book themed washi, bookmarks, stickers, pretty much book anything! If it's book related or book themed, I'm sure to love it
I enjoy reading fantasies, historicas, romances, manga, paranormal, fiction, light novels, and YA. I love most books, honestly, though horror and suspense a little less.
.
As mentioned above, I love books. I also love writing. I'm a huge journal, pen, and pencil collector, and I love unique ones! So I'm very interested in joining writing challenges, stationary and pen swaps, fountain pens and handwriting (my newest love), and pretty much anything writing related. More than that, I love telling stories. It's always awkward talking to someone new, so all my swap partners are in for a flood of information because I'm going to treat you like a long-lost friend.
If you're my partner in a writing-related swap, spill it all! What do you love to read? What are your hobbies? What juicy news did you overhear in the neighborhood this week? I'd love to know! โ
I'm also participating in NaNoWriMo, a yearly writing challenge to complete 50k words in the month of November. If you are participating as well, let me know!
.
I'm open to anything your heart desires! But if you where wondering what I'd REALLY like, well, there are somethings...

While I'm open to receiving anything, there are some things I'd rather not get. I'm not too picky, so this list is pretty short.

This is a list of swaps I'm currently waiting for ratings for as well as the status. If you are expecting something from me but have not received it yet, please let me know!
Ratings Booster Postcard Swap # 3 USA Only
.
As you'll notice, I have two 1's on my account (tisk tisk, Amber!) To be fair, this is not my fault.
Back in 2007 my local postal box had been repeatedly broken into. It was the closest box to my end of town and since I didn't have a car at the time I used it repeatedly. Unfortunately, I found out about its unsavory reputation long after I had stopped using Swap-bot. I do admit that the experience of receiving a negative rating when you completing your end of the bargain left me feeling very discouraged.
I'm currently trying to boost my rating and get back into swapping, but I have to admit it feels a bit tough with how strict everything is. I just ask that if I join your swap, please give me a chance. 10 years is a long time to have something like this still cause harm.
