My name is Jennifer, but I prefer to get called “Jenny” or “Jen”.

I’m 29 years old and I’m from Germany, where I live in a city called Rüdersdorf, which is located close to our capital Berlin. I’m a social worker and I work in youth welfare service.

Concerning my free time I’m obsessed with anything connected to writing. When I was a little child I used to snatch the typewriter of my grandmother in order to pretend that I would write letters. In fact I couldn’t, because I didn’t even know how to write at that time. Yet, the keys felt fantastic and I loved to touch them. My grandma used to fuel me on by telling me I was doing great. In first grade our teacher asked us what we would like to become. I told her that I’d want to be an author. Ever since I’ve been a child I loved paper and pens. With that kind of background I take it that it’s not too much of a surprise that I also enjoy to exchange letters and postcards. I prefer snail mail. There is nothing as wonderful about opening your mailbox as to find a message from a friend.

I’ve got a blog on which I post about books I have read. The link is noted in my profile, but my blog is in German, which is my mother tongue. (I love to read in both – English and German – though.)

This hardly can be described as a hobby or interest, but it's important for me so I have to mention it here: my family and pet friends (I consider the latter to be family, too) are very important to me.

Spiritual topics awake my interest. I'm especially interested in alternative healing methods. I love my Angel Tarot Cards and my various Angel Oracle Cards. I have fun doing readings with them.

Nice scents make me feel comfortable. Therefore I like to sniff on new books, green grass, scented candles, scented body lotion, perfumes, tea.... I'm addicted to Bath & Body Works. ;-)

I easily feel attracted to decorative cosmetics. I love to try out new eye shadows, lipstick and I'm recovering from a little addiction on nail polish. ;-)

I like to go shopping and I like to order things online even more. Sometimes, after work, I like to just stroll through a mall to relax.

When I feel like relaxing I love to watch DVDs, Blu-Rays or go to the movie theaters. Listening to music also helps me to cheer up and feel great. When I like a movie or song I can go so wrapped up inside of it, I will re-watch or re-listen over and over again and possibly even rant about it a lot.

My favorites are Action movies. What I dislike is Horror. I just can't cope with it and I don't deal well with blood.
