I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband of 2 years. I have lived here for over six years and love the climate. I am 28 years old, completing my bachelor degree part-time while working as administrative assistant for a teaching hospital. We live really close to the Willamette River and are about an hour from the Pacific ocean and Mount Hood.
My favorite colors are purple and maroon. I also pastel colors like pink, baby blue, sea green etc. I am not too fond of retro colors and design. I like more modern and traditional design. I love nature and the tropical environment (I was born and raised in Fiji). I love to go hiking and camping.
I love reading; I try to read every single night before I go to bed. As a child, my favorite author was Enid Blyton. As an adult, I love Danielle Steel books; I never get on a plane without one of her books. I also like mystery novels of Sandra Brown and James Patterson. I like romance novels by Diana Palmer.
My favorite American movies are A Walk to Remember and Legally Blonde. I love romantic comedies like Meet the Parents, Just Married and She's all That. I also really like Office Space.
I love to watch television while I am crafting. My favorite shows are Grey's Anatomy and The Office. My weekly show line up also includes, Jeopardy, Beauty and the Geek and Are you smarter than a Fifth Grader? I love the crafting shows on HGTV. All my tv shows are recorded (thanks to my computer geek husband!) so I am able to watch shows like Carol Duvall show, Craft Lab, That's Clever and Scrapbooking when I get home from work. I love all of these crafting shows.
I like doing all sorts of crafts. I have been crocheting and embroidering since I was eight. I still crochet a lot and am hoping to get back into embroidery soon. I also make candles and soap around holidays to give out as gifts. After my wedding, I have started to scrapbook and love it. It is my favorite hobby. I also do a little bit of polymer clay work. I also like to bead and am trying bead embroidery currently. I am in the process of posting my craft pictures on flickr and will post a link here soon.
Due to my allergies and asthma, I cannot have things with strong smells in my house.
I love reading and have a ton of books, so bookmarks would be great!
I am working on my wedding scrapbook, so any embellishment for that would be a huge help :-)
