My username is the name of my Necromancer character on Guild Wars 2. I'm addicted to that game! My real first name is Brittany, though Lola is the nickname I've used online and in real life for several years now. (If you receive ATCs, inchies, twinchies, or any other artwork from me, they'll likely be signed as Lola!)

I'm 31 and I live in Gig Harbor, WA but I'm originally from Phoenix, AZ. I've also lived in Chicago and NYC. I've been in WA a little over 3 years now, first in West Seattle and then Everett... now the boyfriend, James, and I have made our way out to the peninsula. It's very quiet out here! I also think my boy and I are the only people out here with piercings and tattoos and weird hair... we get some confused stares quite often.

I don't have any children, but I do have puppies! We had a litter of 10 pomeranian/maltese mix puppies on Mother's Day and I've been taking care of them ever since. I'm having a really hard time now that it's time to rehome them! I am keeping one, though... his name is Albert and I love him to bits. I'll add some pics at the end of this.

Other stuff about me:
I am random. I travel a lot. I love to read, write, and decorate things. I really want a pet goat. I eat too much cheese. I like to dance and have weird adventures. I'm easily distracted by shiny things, I love sparkly stuff, and you can always find me in thrift stores, used book shops, or museums. I like monster truck rallies, and swap meets. Halloween is, of course, my favorite holiday.

ATCs are my favorite! I also love deconstructing clothing (then reconstructing and upcycling it!), making stencils, anything involving papercrafting or embellishments, and making accessories and jewelry. I make a lot of little hand-decorated trinket/gift boxes.

I am working on learning to draw better. It's taking time and lots of practice, but I'm definitely improving! :D

Breakfast at Tiffany's and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas are my 2 favorites... I think this explains a lot about me. I also love Tank Girl, the Mad Max movies, the Alien movies, Death Race 2000 (the original, not the terrible remake!), City of the Lost Children, Cidade de Deus (City of God), and all kinds of old cheesy horror movies from the 70's and 80's.

Oh boy. There's so much music to love! I'm into everything from Lady Gaga to Slayer to Nine Inch Nails to Journey to Hank Williams Jr. to NWA. I listen to a lot of industrial music, electronic dance music, metal, and 80's and 90's pop.

I love Adult Swim cartoons like the Squidbillies, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Metalocalypse. I watch a lot of Archer, too. And Futurama!

I also watch a lot of National Geographic channel (Love Taboo!), documentaries, and How Its Made. And the best show ever - RuPauls' Drag Race!

I'm not really one for sitcoms, unless you count It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. I also like Hell On Wheels, Sons of Anarchy, The Tudors, Dead Like Me, and Louie. (Louis CK makes me laugh like no other living comedian!)

Also love: Charles Bukowski, Anias Nin, Augusten Burroughs, David Sedaris, memoirs and biographies, Esoteric books, Dion Fortune (her book, The Sea Priestess, is one of my faves), Thelema, Tarot, Kabbalah, some historical fiction, lots of Sci-fi & Fantasy stuff.

I'll read just about anything, but I generally don't care for romance novels or all these recent "supernatural romance" things that have popped up since Twilight. I'm also not really all that into vampire stuff.

I like just about everything - I can find a use for just about anything. I really enjoy things that don't make sense, or are just a little... odd. Handmade things are awesome! I'd really like to start a collection of handmade postcards.

Favorite colors: SO MANY. Haha - bright pink, lime green, black, silver, gray, red... I like just about all colors, really. And shiny things... I'm a magpie, I think.
