I have been a mail artist and avid letter-writer for well over 30 years. Started creating fun stuff for my grandparents, then added my brothers to my mailing list when they left for college, and have been building my mailing list ever since.
I'm also a bit of a pack rat. I collect bone china tea sets and typewriters plus have have a huge stash of arts and crafts supplies because I used to have an online store called Serendipity Arts.
I love to read but sitting down to hold a book isn't an option for a mail art crazy person like me...so I listen to audiobooks.
Since I'm multitasking most of the time, I listen to brain candy books...romance (mostly historical) young adult, adventure, and travel.
Lord of the Rings is one of my all time favorites, though I also enjoyed the Poor Relations series by CJ Archer, The Girl with All the Gifts, the Gregor series by Suzanne Collins, and the epic poem A Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds.
I don't watch TV regularly but there are several shows that I've binged watched recently:
Downton Abbey (watched it real-time as well), Elementary, Empire, The Good Doctor, Power, A Discovery of Witches (loved the book too), The Indian Doctor.
As you can tell, I really like British period dramas!!
The most beautiful movie I've ever seen is What Dreams May Come...the art is incredible and it's no surprise that it won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography. The only problem is that it is terribly depressing so I don't watch it very often.
I'm also a huge Diane Keaton fan. (I'd like to be her when I grow up!!) I like pretty much all of her movies!!!
I love mail art of all kinds. I make mostly mixed media collage postcards but I'm open to receiving almost anything. I have a room in my house that has one wall collaged with my favorite mail stuff so I can see it every day.
My Likes: tea sets, typewriters (I collect them), colorful labels for addressing envelopes, vintage alarm clocks and telephones, anything Paddington or Winnie-the-Pooh, fortune cookie fortunes, owls, planner and journal stickers, trains, Volkswagen Beetles (I'm obsessed!!!), Florence Italy (my favorite place in the whole world), dogs (especially mastiffs or any other giant breed), sheet music, book pages in other languages, lady bugs, tarot cards, unusually shaped playing cards (especially the joker and Queen of Hearts), sticker quotes -- not religious, clock and watch faces, libraries and books, and vertical flower cards.
My favorite colors are pink (any shade but especially raspberry), orange (not neon), hunter green, and navy blue.
I love Kawaii stickers of little girls and letter and number stickers of any color, size or font. Color pens are also exciting to me...especially small tip ballpoint and gel pens.
And one more thing...I am super interested in tiny houses and she-sheds. My husband is currently building me a she-shed in the backyard and I'd love to see what other people have created. If you send me pictures of yours, I'll send you pictures of mine!!!
Naturally I appreciate anything someone sends me but there are a few things I just have no use for: scrapbook paper smaller than 8x11, anything edible (I have weird food allergies and new one pop up as I get older), cat stuff, teacher stickers, kid-oriented stickers (I have very few children in my life).
I'm hoping since lots of people from lots of different places may look at my profile maybe someone will help me with some special things I like or am looking for.
First and foremost, I'm looking for a paperback version of The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, The Little Prince, Paddington, The Chronicles of Narnia (any book) or The Velveteen Rabbit in languages other than English. I'd also like a paperback book that's in Russian, French, or Italian. Hmmm...I would even be happy with just a few pages from any of those...not even the whole book.
I also get a kick out of odd/vulgar/gothic/ sexual/skater/emo stickers. I don't know why but sometimes I just need a sticker that fits a bad, snarky, angry, sexy or depressed mood -- stickers are always so damn happy and that's not always my style...especially in my journals. I get most of mine on wish.com ...but I would love to see what other people have found.

Thank you so much for the paper RAK! I apologize profusely for being so late in saying thank you. I apparently laid your envelope aside out of sight when it first came in the mail and only just found it again today. I will have fun with the handmade paper and sticker paper that you sent. Thanks again!
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for the scrapbook papers!! The vellum ones are so pretty I just want to collect them and not use them. Lol It was such a nice surprise in the mail!! <3

Hello Seren!! I just wanted to drop a note to thank you SO much for the envelope full of paper!!! That blue with swirls will be perfect for ATCs and envelope making. I also was super excited for the accordion card/booklet thing!! I will use that for Zentangling most likely. I have always wanted to do a 100 Day project and I am thinking that would work so good for that. I will use every single thing you sent and already used some of that handmade purple paper in an ATC. I can't thank you enough for your generosity. <3
Thanks so much for the wonderful package of papers and other crafting items! What an amazing envelope to open. Aloha!
Thanks so much for the full envelope of paper! It was an unexpected surprise! I loved the labels and the envelopes. The paper can be used for the kids to make ATC cards. We all were very excited to receive it! :-)
Seren, Thanks for the great assortment of scrapbook papers. π Thanks for being so generous! I loved the vellum paper and canβt wait to use it. Iβve never used any before. Iβm excited to try the card/goodie bag. Thanks again for all the goodies. π
Just received the random kindness package you sent! Wow! What a wonderful bunch of stuff. I had almost no 8X11 scrap pieces, so those are invaluable. I loved the red and olive green theme of everything. The ones with the embossed gold stars are so whimsical! And I will get lots of use out of the blank postcards. Loved the black leather label holders too. Thank you so much! This is just tremendously generous of you! <3
Thank you for the RAK papers! My favorites are the vellum and handmade papers. I'm looking forward to using them tomorrow in a collage workshop.
Thank you so very much for the stamps. I can't wait to put them to good use. I'm finally feeling better and plan to play with them tomorrow.
