About Me

Now that I am older than 45- I feel more intense about the things I believe in, and when asked I answer with plain honesty. Maybe this is something that happens when our children "grow up" and move out..... as we watch them stumble around life with all the choices we now see as simple.

Favorite Music

My house is filled with music of almost every choice. From Classical to some Opera, Gospel, Country, R& B , Jazz, Soul, Rock, Pop , Dance, Instrumental, Big Band, and a bunch of the "categories" I do not remember to shove music in.... There are 3 types of music in our house : Good - Okay - Not for Me..... In almost every format.......wait, I think we do have most of them covered, and the equipment to play them. '78s ,albums, picture discs, 45s, singles, reel-to-reel ,8 tracks -, cassettes, cds, Ipods, etc. We even have some of the "promotionals" from the 70s range mostly - cardboard 45s ! They would be on food items ,normally breakfast cereals, as a special promo.

When I am cleaning house one of my playlists include ( but not limited to) : Johnny Horton Carl Smith Hoyt Axton Crystal Gayle Dolly Parton Linda Rondstat

My "just the normal day" noise can be from Southern Gospel, jumping to Queen, a large list of 80s music, to my calming choices of Roger Whittaker, Nina Simone, etc. to "real" Native American recordings (not to be confused with the New Age grapples)

Lately, my main daily basis is my audio books. Keeps my mind from wandering off alone......... (All 7 Harry Potter books - Over 15 of Stephen Kings masters - again the list of authors is extensive)

Favorite Books

Another long list of likes - with the ranges of my music loves..... Let's see what I can list without going to the shelves....... Authors: Stephen King J.K. Rowling John Saul Debbie MacComber Laurell K Hamilton Lisa Jackson Kay Hooper Bette Neel Janet Daily James Patterson Johnathon Kellerman

Any Recipe Book - OLDEST preferred ***** and so many many more ******

Book Titles: The Secret Garden: Frances Hodgson Burnett Alice That was then, This is now Witch of Blackbird Pond Insomnia Bag of Bones

that is a fair list for now, without chasing around the book shelves.....

Favorite Movies

A few of the ones I can always watch again:

The Lethal Weapon series Dances with Wolves Ever After Last of the Dogmen Shawshank Redemption The Green Mile The Notebook Entrapment anything with Sean Connery Ladyhawke The Neverending Story Flight of Dragons Labyrinth and many many more (I would be afraid to count the vcr tapes & dvds actually !)

Favorite Television

NOT listed in order! Lost Saving Grace Law & Order Criminal Minds Medium Army Wifes Dexter Dog Whisperer Dr Phil Paula Deen - Food Network

I know I am forgetting some - I hate season changes.....

Favorite Crafts

Again - not listed in order of preference or mastery of skill.........

Traditional Native American Beadwork (the real stuff - no plastic, fake fur & feathers etc.)

Knitting Crochet Jewelry Making using semi-precious gemstones and beads normally with silver Embroidery Cross Stitch Sewing Woodworking Ceramics and a few more dabbling learning things.....

The Real Me

The Real Me....

I love to cook, by again the old recipes, from scratch.... no boxes and cans, no microwave.... biscuts that have nothing to do with a can, homemade by hand bread, no machines..... I am that way with all areas of my cooking. No shortcut talent grabbers....

I love to laugh. More and more it seems people are in too much of a hurry to speak to one another while standing in line.....

Although my children are "grown" and out of our house, I often find a stray - of a wide age range, that just needs an adult to LISTEN, letting them work things out themselves - by answering the simple questions. There are so many young people that need that. Just time to talk and make good choices. Not zap and run.................

I am a huge animal lover. I do not donate money. I donate me, my house, my time, my love. I have a batch of dogs right now, that have proven healthy, now have house manners and leash manners that will be looking for the RIGHT homes....Along with the tomcat who's owner moved out of state leaving him.....

I have already shown the love of music, movies, books etc. I have many interests that are not listed and when my website is complete, these will be shared. Horses, country lanes, good things.

I would love to travel, and as my money will never be right for that, I use my computer to travel and meet new people and see new things........... I done here for now...... I am off to learn about others.........

Until then.... Gypsy

Comment: FLAKER ALERT: The last time this user signed on was Sept.5th, which means that she has YET to send out any postcards, or even to click send on the swap. Also, i've pm'ed and not heard a response. Stay off swap-bot, flakers like you are very inconsiderate and have no heart to flake on other users, especially in such a simple swap.
