Hello there! I'm originally from California but am currently in engineering grad school on the east coast... soon to finish my masters and make the switch to high school education. I've always wanted to teach and all my volunteer activities are tied to teaching (right now I'm co-leading an after school science program for 2nd grade girls), so I'm really excited to finally take steps to make teaching my full-time job! My fiancé is from England so we'll be moving there after we get married in April 2015. I am so excited for a new adventure with my favorite person in the world - I just hope I can survive the nearly perpetual overcast/rainy skies ;)

I'm a dancer (used to do tap, now swing & blues), love all things to do with babies and kids (I'm known as the babysitter in my department, so grad students will leave their babies with me when they need to do a quick experiment... no complaints over here!!), and I'm a HUGE baker (but generally leave the cooking to my FI). As such, I love sugar in all its varied forms, but especially chocolate and anything sour (sour patch kids, sour punch straws, etc.).

I've got a handful on pen pals (high school and college friends, mostly) because I love handwritten notes, fancy paper, stamps, and cards. And, of course, hearing updates from my favorite ladies :)
