Hi I am a mother to three boys ages 18, 15, and 4. I have been married for 19 years this Halloween...yes my wedding took place on Halloween and we were married by a vampire. I have been a Paramedic on an ambulance for 12+ years and recently went part time and that leaves me more time to pursue my passions. I also work part-time at a craft store and I love it! I love to craft! I have been scrapbooking for years. I sew, alter, re-purpose, and I learned to knit in October of last year. I suppose knitting was meant for me because in the 6 months I have been knitting I have made hats, scarves, toys, socks, gloves, fingerless gloves, etc. I just love to craft and be around crafty people!
I love music I feel very passionately about it. I play the violin and my middle son plays the trombone for a jazz band and the euphonium for a concert band. I love all kinds of music but one of my favorite bands of all time is Jamiroquai. I discovered them in the early 90's and have followed them ever since. I love Queen...who doesn't? I love Elton John, Led Zeppelin, and so many others! I love Jazz and swing as well. Rockabilly rocks my world! I love Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. I even listen to rap I guess my least favorite genre of music is pop-country...yes I call it that...lol
I love to read. I belong to a few book clubs and my reading was definitely accelerated a few years ago when I began e-reading. I don't really have a favorite author...wait I think I do, it would have to be Christopher Moore. I also love David Moody but I will read literally anything that is WELL WRITTEN!
I am such a movie buff it is not even funny. I watch movies a lot. I have so many movies I love to watch I would say some of my favorites are Bollywood movies. It is my guilty pleasure! I own all 24 James Bond movies!
I don't watch prime time tv. Occasionally I will watch the news but I do watch some series on Netflix and project free tv. The walking dead, American Horror Story, I love and have seen every episode of Law & Order (including regular, Criminal Intent, and SVU) I really enjoy documentaries and crime shows. I suppose I'm weird like that.
yeah I'm that person....I have 10 tattoos so never judge a book by it's cover.......... I love LUSH products but hate that the nearest store is 4 hours away...I love the grass shower gel...coal face soap...imperialis moisturizer....toothy tabs are awesome....any bubble bars and bath bombs..... I love perfumes anything woodsy and earthy and I like light florals too....think Romeo Britto....Thierry Mugler.....jimmy choo...Prada....yeah I don't like cheap knock off scents...lol I love my Scentsy warmer and the bars for it! I love just about anything from shabby chic to steampunk....so much I have a steampunk tattoo. I love butterflies, flowers, and birds. I love to stamp. I love prismacolor pencils and blending stumps. I love lacy trims, flat back pearls, and bling. I enjoy unique pincushions. I love fat quarters and novelty prints. I like sugar skulls, I love all things vintage from the roaring 20's to the disco 70's. I love pinup gals and rockabilly! I follow Hindu culture (my dining room is all decorated with things from India right down to my imported table!) my favorite deities are Shiva, Parvati, Ganesh, and Kartikeya as the family is symbolic of harmony and unity. Favorite colors....really anything goes but I am not a fan of Orange unless it is mixed with other fall colors.... Don't send me anything religious along the lines of Christianity..Catholicism.....western. Thanks for taking time to read about me!

Hi there! Just checking in with you to make sure you got your Julie Nutting Prima Paper Dolls swap from me yet? It's been sent for a little while and want to make sure it got to you safely! :)
Hello, I was checking my swaps to rate people, and I don't have a comment on my blog from you for Follow me #14. If I have missed it, please send me a a message and let me know which post you commented on, so I can rate you. Thank you.
Hi! I left a message for you about Follow Me #14.
Hello!
You are very lucky. My grandmother was a mastermind with sewing- she could make an entire outfit out of fabric. My mom can do some sewing- she can hem or adjust a button or take clothing in a bit.
I would love to watch any video you recommend. I know I have to learn some basics, just to ensure that my clothes fit properly for the remainder of my life.
I will have to find some cheap yarn and needles and give it a go. Oh golly!
Thanks!
Hi!
Just visited your blog. You are so talented and seem like such a fun lady. I know you are in my Owls swap, but I hope to run across you at Swap-bot a lot :)
Hello! I was one of your partners for the comment on profile and quote swap.
Your comment made me laugh. After reading through your profile, I can see that we really are opposites. I am a quiet girl by nature, and my creative skills are limited but I am trying to broaden my horizons. I have always wanted to learn how to sew, but I have an irrational fear of needles. Someday I hope to learn, if only so I can fix my own clothes to make them fit properly.
Do you have any tips for a first-time sewer/knitter?
Welcome to swap-bot!

I enjoyed reading your profile, I am learning how to knit, but had to take a break during this semester of school. I will be taking it back up after finals! I really wanna learn how to make socks and beanie hats before Christmas!
I hope you enjoy the quote, it is one of my favorites! ---Nitasha (nginn1)
Hi! I hope you are enjoying yourself so far with Swap-Bot.
My favorite quote is by John Muir (known as the Father of the National Parks).
"Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where Nature may heal and cheer and give strength to body and soul alive."
Welcome to Swap-Bot! You have a couple of weeks to do some quick send outs. I did say unrated swappers are okay for the Owls swap, but in case you want to do something in the future. Check out the forums... they are always helpful. If you click on Groups at the top of the page, do a search for the Newbie Helpers group. They help people get some swaps done to get their ratings going and also answer questions. Keep your email notifications on... Some people sign up and then disappear. I don't think they mean to flake, they just forgot they signed up here.
Here are some Newbie Swaps
Welcome to Swap-Bot! Thanks for joining my swap, Comment & Quote - take 2! Happy Swapping!
