In swaps, I love images or artwork which uplift and amplify an inclusive vision of humanity. Some of the important movements I want to support through creative endeavour and exchange include size inclusivity and body liberation; disability rights; mental health awareness; PRIDE, Black Lives Matter and Intersectional Feminism.
I also love knitting, sewing, sound-recording, gardening, music and food and try to embed the above ethos within all of those activities. My favourite thing is when the KNIT and the SONIK combine, hence KNITSONIK as the umbrella term for all my knitting and sound projects. I love stranded colourwork in knitting, and symbols that are personal and specific.
I love all the colours but am especially having a neon appreciation moment right now. Dandelions are a special symbol for me as are polka dots; they are part of how I represent and incorporate disability into my everyday view of myself.
