I'm a hoarder! Sort of! I collect a lot of things and varied interests. I'm interested in quilting, sewing, weaving, spinning, needlefelting, jewelry, rubber stamping, about anything else crafty.

I read cozy mysteries nightly, anything with dogs, cats, horses, crafts & food elements are my favorites.I buy secondhand, never full price and keep books from authors I especially like!

As far as music is concerned I like almost everything but hard rock, prefer driving to country. Josh Turner, Dolly Parton, Willy Nelson, & his buddies, Barry White and others

Movies I seldom get to see in a theater, mostly by video or DVD , prefer comedies for entertainment but also like romance & thrillers, and Avatar.

Television don't have much time to watch, but like CSI & the spinoffs, Amazing Race & Survivor for the scenery. And award shows for the clothing.

I currently work 2 part time jobs & live on a 24 acre farm. My jobs are dispatching & data entry. Our farm has 24 dogs, 3 cats, 50 black Barbado sheep, and a 2 yr old burro/donkey. I board & train dogs & have been working with dogs since the 1960's. My favorites are the sighthounds & I use daily a Borzoi/Russian Wolfhound for my mobility assistance dog. His name is Cowboy, was a rescue, and is 9+ yrs old.

I have an interest in history and arts & crafts. Please Note: I'm a cancer survivor of 60+yrs not breast---and had a hip replacement in 2001. I have no interest in the Pink Ribbon campaign and prefer not to get anything associated with the Susan G Komen Organization. I prefer to work outside. I love spring and enjoy gardening both flowers & vegetables and keep bird feeders filled daily.

Oh, my favorite color is blue, but not turquoise, and least favorite color is green.

I heard about this site from a good friend of my nieces' who loves swapping internationally.

UPDATE: I retired from my dispatch job in August of 2011 and began working full time at my data entry job which I love, the work & the people.

I collect Santa Claus ornaments. Cotton fabric, Yo-yo's any size & shape and fat quarters in all colors are great for adding to my stash. Anything referring to dogs that can be used in crafts. UPDATE: I now have a slice cutting machine & love playing with it, cuts paper, fabric, foam & metal.

Although I try to send items in my swaps as clean & fresh as possible, with 4 or more housedogs & 2 housecats you are bound to receive a few black, white or colored hairs in anything sent from my home. So if you are allergic you may not want to be my swap partner.

I will always notify my swap partner if I send out late, and I am slow to rate. Remind me if I am too slow! TIA. FYI !!! I DO NOT access the computer daily, so if it shows I haven't sent a swap by the date or rated you, it is most likely as I've not had the computer access to do so.

I have a new service dog in training. His name is Hemi and he is a black Borzoi boy just 4 months old and a dear sweet boy. He came from Minnesota to Texas and has already traveled to Indiana & back. He is doing great in his training and very attached to me.

UPDATE: 2-23-2012 Today Hemi is being neutered along with another of my dogs. I am a sincere advocate for neuter/spaying of dogs & cats. There are way too many homeless animals in the USA. Please be sure to spay & neuter & vaccinate. Thanx.

Just an FYI for my great swap partners. I will be taking the month of April off to hopefully get some sewing done. I've accumulated so much fabric from the swaps that I really need to spend time using it up! So see you in the May swaps hopefully.
