About Me

I enjoy machine embroidery and am just starting to make my own greeting cards. This past holiday season my husband & I made most of our own holiday cards to send to family and friends. I also enjoy working in the kitchen...especially baking.

Favorite Music

I like all kinds of music except rap. I usually listen to rock-n-roll and easy listening. I do enjoy dancing.

Favorite Crafts

I have not tried quilting. But I enjoy making items such as lace, doilies, bookmarkers, etc with my sewing machine. I recently purchased a serger and am just starting to use it with different projects I am working on. I have two young granddaughters (both 7) and am looking for new ideas to share with them.

I like just about anything with butterflies on it. I am always looking for different stickers, flowers, candles (you can never have too many candles or flowers), lace, different swatch of fabrics, to name just a few items. I do NOT like incense of any kind. I love tea but in tea bags or in KCups to use with my Keurig machine, but no loose tea, please.

My favorite color is yellow or yellow & brown combination. My favorite animal is the tiger, but the cute "cuddly" kind not the fierce looking ones.

Response: It can be if you want. A friend uses hers as a bookmark. That was handmade by me. I love doing machine embroidery.

Comment: Hi DE01740! This is my 1st Valentine to arrive!:) I got it on 12Feb but put your R&R on the wrong person...so sorry. What a creative use for appliques other than stitching them down on fabric. You were certainly thinking outside the box. I am always learning something new from my swap-buddies.:) Did you machine-stitch the tea-cup applique?
