Hi there 👋🏻
I’m new to Swapbot but not new to sending/collecting postcards - I’ve been collecting for 20+ years now.
I’m an American, now living in the United Kingdom with my partner and our three cats. I work in management for the local government and in my spare time I like to knit 🧶 and go for long walks. I’m also a big nerd who enjoys video games, board games and playing D&D. I’m still very much exploring the UK so whenever I go out, it’s an adventure. I look forward to being able to travel when it’s safe.
Pro-vaxxer/Believer in science
Music has always been such a mixed bag for me. I really love music from the 70s and 80s but that in no way limits me to those. You’d just as easy find me driving down the road blasting some Bruno Mars/Cardi B duo or a Frank Sintra classic depending on my mood.
I love nonfiction and graphic novels - currently reading the illustrated version of Sapiens.
As I said above, I’m an avid knitter and quite the the yarn snob/collector. I don’t knit as much as I’d like to but I love when I’m working on a project that keeps me interested. I can also crochet a little bit, but I’m not great at it.
I’m a a beginner in pottery - learning how to throw.
Crafts I look forward to exploring I the years to come: Spinning Learning to use a sewing machine and making clothes and quilts Beekeeping (if you count this as a craft) Soap making
My favourite kinds of postcards are tourist picture cards. Ideally if it’s from where you are from, or where you’ve been on holiday. If you are able to send something like this, tell me about your home town or what you did on your vacation.
I’m also interested in receiving cards with cats, knitting, history, modern art, or game themes.
Although I’ll probably gravitate towards postcard swaps, but if I do branch out, these are things I’m interested in:
yarn (natural fibres only please), Stitch markers and other knitting accoutrement, Perfumes and lip balm (no animal testing), Kawaii stickers and washi tape, and anything D&D or board game related

My mom's cottage cheese cake recipe as promised. :)
1kg cottage cheese (pressed through colander) 1 cup butter 1 1/2 cup white sugar 6 eggs 100g cornflour 150g raisin (if you like it)
Directions: 1. Cream butter and white sugar together, blend in 2 eggs, stir till smooth, blend in cottage cheese that has been pressed through colander. (I always skip colander step due to laziness and it works too.) 2. Blend in cornflour. Separate 4 egg yolk and egg white. Blend in 4 egg yolk in to the mixture. Stir egg white separately, add a little salt to get soft peak. Fold in stirred egg white slowly into the mixture. Add raisin if you like it. 3. Bake in 375°c preheated oven for 1 hour and leave it in the oven after turned off for another half an hour. :)
