I fall down many rabbit holes with my art, I'm currently enrolled in Fodder School and loving that community and the teachers. I am in Lifebook 2021 but not planning on signing up for 2022. A lot of the teachers are repeats for me after 3 years so I'm going to try Wanderlust this year. I am also enjoying slow stitching with sara in her textiles class.

I am happily married and have a big blended family of 8 kids, 8 grandkids, 1 soul dog, a grand dog, two cats and about 100 fish, both salt and fresh water. (my grown daughter lives with us and the fish are all hers)

I have been creating and making my whole life did scrapbooking in the 80's, tole painting and primitive dolls in the 90's and then in 2018 discovered Lifebook and Mixed media. It's perfect for me because it's ALL the THINGS.

I like abstract and wonky versus perfect and planned in my art.

My youngest daughter is a singer/songwriter living in Brooklyn New York, so she is number one on my playlist. Hurricane Holly. She is on Amazon music/apple music/ spotify etc and has a unique brand of what she calls Storm Pop.

Musical theater show tunes are a thing I grew up with and passed down to my girls. The family has season tickets to the Broadway Shows that come to Denver.. Hopefully, the theater will be opening soon

I was a teen in the 70's so I still love Soul / Disco music, Michael Jackson etc, and I love the boy bands from the 90's, took my girls to see the Back Stret Boys & NSync... I like hip hop/funk, folk, pop, really anything but opera & jazz.

I was a show choir kid from age 8 up (think Glee!) as was my husband and then I sang at my church io the praise & worship team and started a ladies group called "sisters" I've left that world behind me now but it's still all wonderful memories.

I'm VERY excited to see the new DUNE movie that opens today. I love sci fi, grew up on Star Trek, love the GOOD Star Wars movies, Galaxy Quest, True Lies, Love Bond movies, Hunger Games, Die Hard 1,2 & 4. Family Man, Love Actually, White Christmas I'm all over the place with my movie tastes. Detest Horror Movies.

Big Bang Theory (We've been rewatching them all) 911, Downton Abbey, Great Brittish Baking Show, The Voice, Greys' Anatomy, Shameless, Game of Thrones, Little House on the Prairie... We watch a LOT of TV. I am an only child and grew up with TV as my only companion often.

Currently loving all Mixed Media things, Slow stitching with Sara and Fodder School are my current obsessions. Am a member of Lifebook but haven't been keeping up with the lessons much, I've moved away from so much realistic art and am loving grungy, recycled art in my journal and abstract people versus cutsey Tamara type girls. Toni Burt's style appeals to me, lots of non-dominant hand drawing, sketchy and imperfect, pops of unexpected color. I adore Teal and tend to put a "touch of teal" in everything I do or it doesn't look right to me. I'm really enjoying loose watercolor play.
