I run a little web site called Chicago Crafty that is a calendar + directory of local craftiness. I've been involved in the crafting community for a long time and also sell stuff on Etsy and Art Fire. I love all thing handmade. Even an awkwardly made thing that didn't turn out quite right beats the heck out of anything made in a factory.

Anything directed by Wes Anderson, Kevin Smith or Danny Boyle.

I love receiving anything handmade. I personally enjoy knitting, mosaics, collage, bookbinding, papermaking, embroidery and a little bit of sewing.

Anything by Kurt Vonnegut. But mostly I read a lot of non-fiction.

Big Love, True Blood, Ugly Betty, Life on Mars. I also adore Jon Stewart and Bill Maher.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Girl Talk, MIA, CSS and Lupe Fiasco. I always love Beastie Boys, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Sonic Youth.
