Hi! I'm Amanda, and I'm from Kentucky! I love to make stuff! When I'm not crafting, I'm being a mom to my three kiddos: Mac (13), Anna (11) and Elan (9), walking my yellow lab, Nellie Mae (1) or spending time with my husband. Our family is Catholic and we have an old house that sits on almost 2 acres in horse country. We are a little old fashioned... we eat dinner together every night and relax with movies and games on the weekend. I love to cook daily and bake during the holidays and my kitchen is my favorite place to gather. I am a runner and try to train for 1 marathon a year. I'm a teensy weensy bit addicted to Pinterest. :) I love, love, LOVE dark chocolate. I start my day with a good, strong cup of black coffee and probably spend too much money at Starbucks and our local coffee shop, Heine Brothers. I like to drink red wine while I cook, and I've recently gotten on the smoothie train- making at least one green smoothie a day. I'm tall- 6 feet, have a close knit family that includes 3 brothers and their wives and children. I am a tad stubborn, a little obsessive, have a hard time sitting still, and collect more crafting supplies that one should be allowed.

I love to make all kinds of things! I started with paper at an early age and my love for stationery grew into a business. When my first child was born, I began my at home business, Paper Doll Stationery. The past three years have been very good to me, and word has spread without any advertising. I am blessed to have a studio in my home where I can work and create AND stay home with my children. When I'm not working on stationery orders, creating new designs, or putting together a custom order for a client, I am usually needlepointing! I have made belts, dog collars, key chains, ornaments, and more! It's a relaxing activity that I really enjoy while I'm waiting on a kid at practice, in a doctors office, carpool line, or sitting on the couch with my kids during a movie. I really like to garden to! We grow lots of vegis and this year we plan to start up a strawberry patch and blackberry and raspberry bushes. Also, I'm becoming a beekeeper! Fresh honey is the BEST! My batches of bees arrive this April and I'm super excited about that. I am also a little terrified. :/

I really like to read, but I never have enough time to hunker down with a good book and read all day. So, my reading time is usually before I go to bed and 15 minutes later, I'm out! Some of my favorite books: The Red Tent The Kite Runner A Thousand Splendid Suns The Book Thief Sarah's Key All The Light We Cannot See The Girl on the Train The Kitchen House ...and plenty more! I love anything by James Patterson and Kristin Hannah too!

The first and last time I had a pen pal, I was a freshman in high school. I wrote to a boy in Ethiopia religiously for 4 years- I loved it! We exchanged letters, postcards, and small gifts. Every month was exciting to see what came in my mailbox.

I love to be surrounded by color- so I don't really have a favorite color. If I had to choose only a handful, they would be: green, light blue, red, pink and orange. I shop at: Paper Source, Target, and Anthropologie. I get my groceries at Kroger and Costco- I spend a TON of money on food. My kids eat like grown men! I like comfort: blankets, fires in the fireplace, coffee, hot tea, warm cookies, my UGG slippers, soft sweaters, scarves and my dog by my side. I love sending notes to people- especially those not expecting it! I really like decorating envelopes and coming up with fun card ideas!
