Ever since I was a little kid, I was really into baking and pastry stuff. My dad loved to bring me into the kitchen with him when he was baking cakes or cookies. When I got a little older, I started making stuff on my own, and one year, I made chocolates and mini heart shaped cherry cheesecakes for my friends for Valentine's Day. It was a lot of fun, and I was sort of directed into going to culinary school. The chocolates class was great fun, and those are just the skills I call upon at the moment. I still bake cookies and make birthday cakes for friends and things like that though.
I was living in a little place called Temecula. I had gotten a job working in the bakery at the casino there. It was fun and all, but I quickly realized I was not a southern California resident by nature, and I went back to Colorado after six months.
I saw you over in the Chocolate bar or SLAB swap as a newbie and wanted to say...Hello! from one newbie to another. =)
An idea for black and white salt and pepper shakers...pengiuns! I have a set of hugging pengiun salt and pepper shakers that are black and white (and a little orange for the beaks).
