In the playgroud: clapping games

Hello lovely pea-pod pals!

September is just around the corner, and here in Canada our young people are all getting ready to go back to school. While it has been many (MANY) moons since I have gone back, this time of year does tend to trigger old memories... and thus the idea for a swap was born!

For this swap, I'd like you to think back to your early school days and try to remember any old clapping games/ rhymes. Does anyone remember "Miss. Mary Mack?" or "Stella Stella Ola?" Try to recall the words and the rules as best as you can! If skipping rhymes were more your style, then by all means, please share those too! Thanks for the idea, Perkl8r! (It seems to me that these are becoming lost forms of play... so lets bring them back!)

Write your partner a letter explaining the game and how it was played and try to include the words too... You can delve even further and try to recall the names of your friends/ grade/ teacher etc... Hahaha! Just have fun with it!

You will have 2 partners; letters can be hand-written or typed and can be as long as you like! I think we all appreciate long letters, right?! I hope you will join and please let me know if you have any questions! :0)
