This is an international swap open to anyone with a 4.9 or higher with NO "no-sends" (exceptions will be made on a case by case basis-just message me). You will have 2 partners and make each partner one doll. You may decorate your doll in any style you like, the only requirement is that it is a doll made from one of the old fashioned clothespins. Please remember to rate your partners (you are NOT rating skill level, money spent, personal taste, etc....simply whether they met the swap requirements or not). Also please remember to ship your packages on time and to click the "I sent my items" link after you have shipped. I think this will be a fun, easy, and inexpensive swap. I can't sign up for this as I have no artistic ability outside of music. BUT When I was a kid, I read this book. It was a mystery (obviously in response to the massive popularity of Nacy Drew). The girl detective was named Meg and she was in Williamsburg, VA.

The mystery was about these missing clothespin dolls, that had apparently been made by George Washington. It was a neat book with secret doors and stuff.

So, seeing clothespin dolls in the new swaps made me think of the book. I wonder if anyone else has read Meg and the Mystery in Williamsburg ?

pahasiga- the clothespins should be pretty easy to find....try craft stores, or i've even seen them at dollar stores...maybe even wal-mart or target?

My SIL made the cutest wooded soldier clothespin dolls for ornaments a couple of years ago! I bought some of the clothespins, (at Hobby Lobby), at the time and never used them. Thanks for giving me the perfect excuse!
