Description:

Happy New Year! I thought I'd try to host my first swap. It's my first, please be gentle with me! :)

I've realized that I have tons of gift tags for Christmas gifts, but almost no tags for any other sort of gifts. Hopefully I'm not the only one with this issue, and this swap will fix it for us!

For this swap, you'll be sending 2 partners three handmade gift tags. So, you'll be sending out a total of six gift tags, with these criteria:

  • please, no Christmas, other winter holiday, or winter theme in general. So no snowflakes, snowmen, etc.

  • they should be handmade, with some sort of embellishment. You should plan to put some effort into it - don't just send a cut square of paper! But they don't have to be super-fancy with lots of bows and ribbons and crap flying in every direction (although if they are then that's fine too!).

  • Remember to leave space for writing, or add your own "to" and "from."

Other than the requirements above, the theme can be up to you. You may want to do a certain color or pattern, all birthday tags, another holiday theme like Valentine's or Easter, etc. Please take a look at your partners' profile pages to see their likes and dislikes, and take those into consideration if possible.

If you'd like to request specific colors, patterns, etc., please feel free to do so in the comments below, but remember the designs are sender's choice!

Newbies are welcome! Otherwise, please have a minimum 4.7 score and no recent 1s or 3s. PM me if you don't meet those requirements but have a good explanation why, and still want to participate.

But I can only angel a few tags, so please don't flake! (plus I want to host more swaps and too many flakers would be a major disincentive...).

Thanks for reading, y'all!

DUDE!!!

I've been making gift tags out of ANYTHING I can get my paws on. :)

LOL "but they don't have to be super-fancy with lots of bows and ribbons and crap flying in every direction" THAT line made me want to join this swap :) (ok, and because I love making tags, and I promise, no flying crap from me, although flying monkeys is always a possibility!)

Wait, does made by my own hand, but from, like, leftover greeting cards and such... Does that count as handmade???

@Leashah -yeah I love those tags too and they totally count- bring 'em on!

@germangirl65 - lol thanks and I'm so glad you decided to join! Btw, flying monkeys sound perfect!

I could totally use some blue or green colored tags! But I'm sure I will use anything you send, thanks!

I was planning on leaving the "to/from" section on the back of the tag. Is that okay?
