Hello SMU Group, It has came to my attention that we have several members that enjoy digitally altering photos and since it is Christmas this swap will be a little different. You will be giving your partner a gift for this swap....Don't worry if you are like me there is no way you can afford to add another gift to that long growing list. Instead, after you have been assigned a swap partner you will go to their online album and look through the photos they have to offer. You will choose one photo to alter for them that way your gift will be a surprise. Read below for more details.
The theme is "Alter My Photo" .
Please remember the theme is open to your partners interpretation.
You must have a online photo album listed in your profile with at least 15 quality photos for your partner to choose from.
Your partner must be able to save one of your photos in your online album to be able to alter the photo for you.
You may use any digital means to alter your photo such as Paint Shop Pro, Photo Shop, etc. If you do not own one of these programs you may use a online alternative such as Loonapix, Dumpr, Picnik, JpgFun, etc. HERE is a great web page that list many different alternatives.
Alterations can be anything you choose such as adding effects, text, enhancements, etc. Just remember this is about creating a gift for your partner so checking their profile might be a good place to start when thinking about what you would like to alter for them.
All photo rights belong to your partner.
You will have 1 swap partners that you will email 1 photo to in .jpg format. Please be sure to attach your photograph to your email. Sometimes if the photograph is just insert into the body of the email, not everyone will be able to view it in this manner.
You are free to alter/ email more than 1 photograph if you wish but only 1 is required.
Please send a holiday wish in the body of your email to your partner..

Do not upload the altered photos to our Flickr Group. If your partner wishes to share it in the Flickr group it must be uploaded by them since they own all rights to the photograph. For any swap partner that wishes to upload and share your altered photo gift with others must request to become a member on Flickr. Only members of the group can upload photos there. You are able to upload two (2) photos per week at the Flickr Group .
Please remember to rate your partner upon receiving the swap.
This swap will be angeled if need be but I am hoping that will not be the case.
The swap send deadline will be Christmas since we are virtually sending a gift to our partner. You may send the altered photograph before Christmas and it will be your partners choice if they prefer to wait until Christmas to open the email. Just be patient when it comes to ratings since it may not be opened until the swap send deadline.
