Description:
I received, in the mail today, a solicitation to donate to a local charity that provides meals for folks on Thanksgiving. I would like to contribute as I have been very lucky this year. But writing a check is so passive. So, this swap will be a donation of $5. to a local charity or your church that will provide a Thanksgiving meal. You then send a card to your partner telling them about the charity and what services it provides, and a copy of the donation form. Thanks for joining and Happy (early) Thanksgiving.

For those of you thinking this over, there are few more ways to do this: Recycle your beer/soda cans and bottles and save the $5. that way.

Buy some canned food with a coupon, donate to your local food bank or food drive - take a picture and send a copy of the receipt to your partner!

I'm sure we can think of some other ways to make this a painless donation!
