Give a Little Halloween Inspiration

I don’t know about you all, but Halloween is my favorite holiday (besides Christmas). There’s always something going on (parties, kids, trick-or-treaters, helping out with the local haunted houses or making one), so I’m always picking up a new craft or making something. It’s inevitable. This year alone I have a haunted house, kid’s party, trick-or-treating and helping out with a production of the Halloween Tree.

So here’s the swap: Send your partner a Halloween Craft kit to make one item. It can be any item: a charm bracelet, t-shirt making, masks, prop making, amigirumi making, bunting, ATC, matchbox shrine, cupcakes, candy…etc. Use you’re imagination. Pick something YOU are good at making and send a craft making kit to your partner.

To make this a bit challenging however, the kit MUST include one FINISHED example of the craft. Example: if you send a ‘crochet a zombie kit’, you must include a zombie you made. Obviously the receiver doesn’t want a carbon copy of the item they’re making. So there can be some variation. Let's go back to the ‘Crochet a Zombie kit’. Maybe you send them instructions on how to make a boy zombie and you send a finished girl zombie amigirumi with.

The kit MUST also include written instructions (with OR without pictures), a card/letter, and MOST of what you would need to make said item. So if you’re sending a scrapbook page kit, you presumably don’t have to send scissors, BUT you do have to send paper, glue-stick, whatever embellishments etc. With knitting we know most people have scissors – but your partner might not have needles. Therefore needles would need to be added to the kit.

Keep in mind this should be a basic kit – think like the craft kits you buy in stores. There MUST be enough supplies to make at least one of the item. And also, this is not profile based – but please! Send something YOU would like to receive.

Ratings: This is not a profile based swap. Rate accordingly within the rules set by the Swapbot Admin. If you received, it was on time, and it met the requirements, then it should be a five. Like or dislike of the craft shouldn’t enter here. However! Items should not be dirty OR go against potal regulations (check the USPS website as some paint/glue is considered hazardous).

Eligibility: No 1’s within a six month period. No recent 3’s WITHOUT a good explanation PMed to me please. Must AT LEAST have a 4.5 rating with a good swapping history. Newbies with at least one type three swap, NO 1’s or 3’s, can join. This is a regional swap, so do not sign up if you're not from the USA. If someone wants to do an international version, feel free!
