Description:

Make a pocket diary for your partner using tarot cards as the front and back cover. Must have at least 15 pages. You can stamp or decorate a part of the pages, if you like. Tutorial with great instructions on how to make the diary, just use tarot cards as opposed to the playing cards shown on the tutorial.

Easy, simple swap. You can make ahead of time or wait for partners to be assigned & decorated w/ interests from their profile.

But, ultimately it is sender's choice.

Minimum requirement recap:

  • Must have tarot cards as front & back cover

  • Must have a minimum of 15 pages

  • Must be created & bound using the above tutorial. CAN NOT be made just by stapling 15 pages together & then gluing a tarot card on the front & back pages. If not created using the tutorial, then a 3 rating can be given. Don't join this swap if you don't like this rule. If you'd like a different swap with different rules on the book binding, make it or contact an officer.:-)

If you'd like to do more pages or get more creative, that's great. Just make sure to follow the simple requirements & have fun.

I just wanted to know if it's possible to xerox the cards and then glue them to some sturdy cardstock? Or even draw the tarot cards ourselves? I don't want to break up a good deck ;)

oreon 07/20/2010 #

@SylvanaWolfspaw - Of Course. I wouldn"t want anyone to muss up their tarot deck.:-)

SylvanaWolfspaw 07/20/2010 #

Oh! Thanks a lot, Oreon! :D

Hi Oreon. I have been away for a long time and really look forward to start swapping again. If my one 1 rating or 3 rating is a problem here (due to the requirements) please contact me

oreon 07/21/2010 #

@Amnesdatter - No problem. The ratings seem a little excessive & sometimes ppl rate w/o caring about what it does to your rating. Please come & swap w/ us!

I was wondering what size the tarot cards should be? I saw some that are thinner but longer than normal playing cards, but also saw the normal playing cards type.

SylvanaWolfspaw 08/ 9/2010 #

Oh yeah! I have the same question actually :) I have small tarot cards the size of cards and then the other ones I have are 12x7 cm, hehe! So any specific size?

oreon 08/11/2010 #

Any size. No requirement. If you have a tarot card that you'd like to use that you can use the tutorial for (so prob no round ones) then go for it!

SylvanaWolfspaw 08/14/2010 #

Sounds good! Mean I can start right away :D

oreon 08/16/2010 #

I did! I've already made 6 of them & enjoyed it so much!

LeftHandedGoth 09/ 8/2010 #

Can I use a comb binder instead of the japanese stitch? The book would lay flat that way.

oreon 09/ 9/2010 #

@lefthandedgoth - you would need to message your partner. If they're OK with that, then sure.
