Description:

This is a series of swaps for all you keen photographers, amateur or pro.

Rummage through your photograph collection, or take one specially for the theme, which this month, is FLOWERS.

Print your photograph at home (high quality) or at a photo lab (6x4 size), then securely adhere your photograph to card stock. Write on the back, perhaps a little about the photograph and/or yourself, stamp & send in the mail to your partners.

You will have two partners, and can send the same photograph to each if you like. This is an international swap, as postage is nice & low. You should send the postcard naked (not in an envelope).

A score of 4.9 or higher, with no recent no-sends is required please. Newbies welcome with a fully filled out profile :-) I will be checking all profiles.

Watch out for the next in the series, which will be WATER.

Can the photos be laminated instead of glued on cardstock? I love my laminator ... !! :-)

xsazzlex 07/ 5/2010 #

Hi there. Yes, I guess so... but would you be able to write on the back of the laminated photo? & stick a stamp on it?

MarissaPrendes 07/ 5/2010 #

what is a full profile?

MommyKnows 07/ 5/2010 #

you could write before laminating... and a US self stick stamp sticks to lamination... don't know about lick-and-stick

Hi Marissa - by full profile, I mean all the sections filled out, as much information as you can cram in, so your profile page isn't bare! We want to get to know you! & by taking the time to fill out your profile, it shows that hopefully, you're going to stick around, and be a reliable swapper! :-)

MommyKnows - good thinking!!

How about the preprinted postcard backs that you can buy at The2Buds or Photostix?

Mary

xsazzlex 07/12/2010 #

Hi Mary - yes, it's absolutely fine to use those! :-)

LindyLuLu 07/23/2010 #

I hope you do this again...I cannot participate this time because of the dates. :-(

xsazzlex 07/28/2010 #

Hi LindyLuLu, I have two more swaps set up: WATER & CAKE! :-)

Vickyen 07/29/2010 #

I am just hopeful the pc's make it in the mail!! I used rubber cement to attach the pic to the paper, so... Sent 2 to each partner, in the hopes that at least one makes it!! lol - Is there a better adhesive to use for this? Thanks!! ;)

xsazzlex 07/29/2010 #

Rubber cement?? I don't even know what that is!! Um, might I suggest glue, or double sided sticky tape, or adhesive photo squares..??
