Secret Hollow Book Swap (US only)

Even though I've been out of school for quite some time now, this time of year makes me think new books, which makes me think old books, which makes me think altered books; and I love altering books. And hollow books and pretty and practical.

So here’s the idea, folks:

Each person will make one (1) hollow book for one (1) partner. Inside, you’ll put a quote, poem, song lyric, joke, whatever, about secrets or hiding on the inside back cover, and collage the rest as you please. Also, one tiny gifty for your partner. (tiny as in a bead, a seashell, a button or two….tiny) Something you think they would like, check their profile.

So hit up a yard sale or thrift store and grab a book that deserves a second life. Maybe it’s got a great cover or it’s in another language. Hymnals are always fun and the pages you cut out work well for all kinds of other craftiness.

US only please as saturated books can get heavy to mail. And swappers with 4 and up only.
