Description:

This is an international swap

I love maps. I love postcards. I've got lots of map postcards from around the world, but would love to add more.

Send one (1) map postcard to five (5) partners. The postcards can be store-bought or homemade, however if homemade, please don't just cut a bit of old map and stick it to some cardstock. Make the map relate to your world somehow. Be creative! Store-bought...doesn't have to be local...maybe it is someplace you have visited, or would like to visit, or even imaginary.

Because it is easier to make the swap specific, this one is limited only to postcards sent without envelopes. Even homemade. The postal systems may do their best to leave their mark, but so be it. Postcards are meant to look postally used :-)

This swap is open to new swappers until one week prior to close on 7 September. I will remove anyone who signs up after that date and is without more than three completed swaps, with ratings (I don't count online URL or other non-mail swaps as completed swaps). Those who sign up prior to 31 August, and still don't have three completed swaps, are fine, though.

(formerly called "Map Your World Postcard Swap." I discovered another swap with the exact same title whilst surfing Swap-Bot and decided I needed to change the title of my swap.)

I have changed the name of this swap from "Map Your World Postcard Swap" because I discovered another swap with the same title and I didn't want to create confusion, or have anyone think I would plagiarize another swapper.

The map of our postcard sending world looks like this;

7 participants from outside the US

  • CANADA - Nova Scotia 2, Ontario 2
  • FRANCE 1
  • IRELAND 1
  • SPAIN 1

23 participants from the US

Alabama 1, Arizona 2, California 4, Colorado 1, Florida 1, Georgia 1, Maryland 1, Michigan 2, New Mexico 1, North Carolina 3, Nevada 1, Oregon 1, Pennsylvania 1, Texas 1, Washington 1, Wisconsin 1

Enjoy! And please acknowledge receipt of your postcards as so as possible.

I got a neat postcard from Texas ~ but I don't know who to rate because there's no name on it!! Take credit if it's from you please!

I just found a few of my Map postcards between the passenger seat and the door of my car. They must have escaped on the way to the PO. I have contacted all my partners but just wanted to let everybody know what had happened.

To be honest this is the 2nd time I have found something to mail hiding out in my car well after the fact :( Do you think I need to clean it more often?
