Going The Yard Fabric Swap!

:( Our Wal-Marts don't have any fabric anymore! :( So Sad! I have to drive at least 1/2 hour to get to a small JoAnns, and an hour min to get to any other fabric stores. All the sewing folks have quit sewing around here--or are buying everything online.

Sorry for whining--I'm just trying to get back into quilting, and it's difficult to find good stuff anywhere, and especially not inexpensive.

your not whining. i know what you mean, but I thought even if people had a yd of springy fabric that they thought they were going to use when they purchased it and then decided they didn't want to that maybe they could swap it out this way

I would like to whine about how hard it is to get to fabric stores too!!!! Why did Walmart quit having fabric?! I'd like small flowers and pastel background if possible!!

Some Walmarts still have fabric, like mine does . . . unless they're planning on getting rid of that section at some point? I hope not!

Most super wal-mart stores have done away with them. I have a small Joann store near me and a Joann etc. about 40 mins away (rarely get there). We have a lot of Amish and Mennonite families in this area of NY. They have lots of little fabric shops.

We need to write to Walmart about giving up the fabric. Don't understand that as there are so many quilters out there, unless their fabric is less desirable. I use it for little projects I do. Google their address and lets write them.

thanks for that address. i have a walmart that has fabric and good ones at that, but i wanted to write because i quilt, use their fabric a lot cuz i can't afford the expensive quilt stores! so i want to write them to keep the fabric for us little folks! and if anyone wants me to send them fabric, i'd be glad to for your stash...and, i'm joining the swap! yippie! thanks for hosting it!

Hi, I've never been in a fabric swap. I'd like to start to swap fabrics 1 yard minimum not fat quarters? and was hoping that perhaps pictures would be shown of the fabric. Please maybe explain to me if I'm on the wrong course. Thanks so much.

I'm confused on the picture part. Do we need to post pics before we send or what?
