I think you should ban participents with no rating at all or with no completed profile. unless, I believe that other participents won't join because of this reason

Handmade is fine and dandy as long as thought has gone into it.

and I see your point about profiles being filled out: I'll see if I can change the wording of the swap at this point...

Oh - and I bought the buttons at a litle button place in the garment district of New York but have seen them since in some fairly run-of-the-mill craft shops... You can probably also find them on eBay.
