WIYM: Happy Card Pocket--Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

For this swap, we will be creating (don't worry, it's easy!) a pocket out of a greeting card and filling the pocket with goodies. All you need is a Valentine's Day themed card and you're good to go. You don't even need an envelope!

Please read the instructions carefully so you know how to fulfill the swap:

1. Start with a Valentine's Day card. It can have a greeting inside or be blank (like a notecard.)

2. Sign the card, including the title of the swap, and add a little happy note telling about your day. Please write more than "here is the swap." You can write in the card or on a separate piece of paper.

3. Tape two sides of the card closed. These two sides, along with the natural fold of the card, will leave one side open. This creates the pocket.

4. Into the pocket put some flat (ish) items (stickers, postage stamps, recipes, washi tape samples, note cards, postcards, letter sets, etc., etc.). It is always nice to check your partner's profile to see what they might enjoy. The goodies do not need to be Valentine's Day related, but they can be if you wish.

5. Aim for making it a little puffy (likely two stamps' worth).

6. Tape the pocket closed (along the fourth side of the card). This sealed card pocket will be sent Naked (without an envelope) through the mail.

7. Address the backside of the card (it may not be plain; that's ok. You can write directly on the card or add a label if you need/want to).

8. Add appropriate postage, and mail it off to your partner.

PLEASE NOTE:

Make sure the sides of your pocket are securely fastened with packing tape to prevent anything falling out in transit. (Another option is to put your card pocket into a see-through plastic pocket or bag.)

Valentine's Day themed, professionally printed cards only. No handmade cards please. Otherwise, it is sender's choice.

No need to decorate the outside...the card is the decoration! You can decorate the address side if you want to, but this is not required.
