100 days of summer by the sea journal swap

I actually the idea for this at another site. I guess it was done a couple of years ago, but since I am a genuine California Beach Girl I thought it sounded like great fun.So whether you live by the beach, or just want to live by the beach, or just love to visit the beach, this swap is for you.

A JOURNAL SWAP which will run from Memorial day to labor day. Due September 10th, 2009 with the theme of BY THE SEA . . .Use art, photographs, old postcards, doodles, collage, and regular written journal entries. Although it is called the 100 days of summer, you do not have to have an entry for every single day. Try to have at least 75 entries though. Anything to do with the beach, water, the colors blue & green, swimming, relaxing, fish, mermaids, bathing beauties, boating, sand, shells, birds, sunrises, sunsets, islands, even shopping and simply enjoying Summer by the water. Add sticks, leaves, or flowers, shells, etc. from your own summertime adventures. I actually collect sand. Personalize the journal and tell us something about yourself through your decoration and writing. Share your home beach, or your dream beach, or both. Please make or decorate any size journal with this theme ranging in size from as small as 5" x 7" to as large as 9" x 12". Use any techniques: including watercolor, other paints, fabric, sewing, collage, stamping, photographs, transfers, drawing, crayons, markers, stickers, etc. Be really creative with this. And have fun.

PS. Thanks to secret for pointing out they do not celebrate these holidays in England. So for all who are not in the U.S., the official dates will be from May 31st to September 7th. I will not be banning anyone from this swap unless you have a long list of recent ones. But be aware that this is a long-term commitment. And if you do flake you will be banned from all of my future swaps. Because of the nature of this swap, I will not be able to angel it, but if you are flaked on, I will send you a blank journal which you can use in any way you see fit. Newbies are welcome with a fully filled out profile.
