Description:

Hello dear friends, this time of year always lures me outside into the cooler temperatures. Hoping to enjoy the crisp fragrant air before the bitter chill overtakes us once again.

I love to wander the woodlands near Amberleigh and make notes and sketches of my observations. I found this fun little paper creation and plan to use it for such a journal. Would you care to join me? ~ Leandrea Wallis

Swap: make a (smash book or explosion) nature walk journal following THIS VIDEO. Only the first 2 1/2 minutes pertain to our design. Use white paper or single sided scrapbook paper (not black) to add your own journaling, etc. The one shown in the video is as small as you’d want to go, larger is fine. I did one that was 8” x 8” and it ended up 4” square. You’ll need 3 square pieces of paper and it will end up half the size when folded up. Write, decorate and mail to your partner!

We hope you’ll join us on our adventure and create a small nature walk journal to commemorate Autumn.

Here is another video demo. Ali calls it a dragon book and has added covers and additional pages that are unnecessary for this swap - but her instructions are fabulous! VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS

I gave this a try and once you fold the first square, it is very easy to do the next two and glue them together. It isn't really hard, if you are at all worried about it.
